Can any one let me know where I can obtain Financial Reports/ End of Year Statements etc on the Charity (2824) Pioneer Total Abstinence Association. As an ordinary member I would like to know more about our present financial difficulties and when they began.I would also be interested if anyone knew the salary scales/ expenses of the employees within the Association from CEO down.

They squandered their money. The rest they spend on tea and biscuits.

Why exactly is there a 'total abstinence association' anyway?

Makes about as much sense to me as atheist mass.

So they can all sit around being frustrated and resisting temptation together

It wouldn't be appropriate for a thread about sober people to be locked.

    Because:
It's the opposite of Alcoholics UNanymous ........ when you sit around in a circle on hard chairs in a sparse room feeling down and not wanting to have a drink. Then a volunteer buddy calls 'round and drags you out for a right session. I think. No?

It's an extremist paramilitary splinter group of "The Abstinence Assocaiton"

These nutjobs were invited to give a talk at my primary school. Did it happen at most catholic primary schools?

Are you sure it wasn't The Rhythm Method Society?

Thank you Doctor. Now you be careful when exiting the next roundabout. We've had enough drama today :)

Wouldn't it be great if their accounts showed up a huge bar bill!
I'm very anti abstinence. The only thing we should abstain from is abstinence itself!

Total Abstinence! But it could be the Rhythm section of the Rhythm and Blues Twelve Step Orchestra

    OP,
Probably best to contact the Secretary or Treasurer of the organisation for the information you require or request a freedom of information act (if applicable)
