Starting July 10th in the States.

As a HBO show, I'd guess it would show up on Sky Atlantic at some point.

TG4 always had it so they will prob show it after it finishes in the US.

    Bumpity-bump..

.. back last night in the US.

Finally caught up on it over the Summer, so really looking forward to this!

More4 have first run rights on S8 so they'll have to show it before Sky Atlantic can. No idea when they plan to show it though.

Apparently More4 will be screening it in the Autumn sometime. Very annoying.

First episode was pretty good. Looking forward to seeing how Larry adapts as a singleton.

Poor old Jeff got a right hammering at the dinner table from Suzy, very funny.

Can't wait to get home to watch this.
Apart from the season(s) with Mel Brooks, have really enojoyed all the others and last season was as good as ever.

As soon as he offered to buy the cookies you just knew it would end up with him arguing with kids. What I didn't guess would that cringing scene outside his bathroom!
How you gonna' f*ck b*tches...IN A TWIN BED??
Classic! Leon is a great addition to the show.

Larry said in NFL podcast that 2 of the eps from this series are his fave.

Have watched half of it so far great stuff

Anyone have a decent link without buffering????

I was hoping one of the girl guides would call Larry a bald asshole:(

  • Moderators, Arts Moderators Posts: 35,741 Mod ✭✭✭✭pickarooney

Decent episode but I hope this wasn't one of Larry's favourites. It was very much CYE by numbers, with another star cameo from Leon. The 'being Sweded' bit was funny also.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,431 ✭✭✭Morgans

I'd agree with that. As well, the start kind ruined the perfect ending from last year. I know it probably had to, but still.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 44,200 ✭✭✭✭Basq

Christ, that scene outside the bathroom was CYE at it's cringey best!

Not a amazing season opening, but decent!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,070 ✭✭✭Tipsy McSwagger

I hope that's the end of Cheryl now. Bloody gold digger.

No chance I want her in a bikini a la The Thong ep. :D

Have to say I was a wee bit disappointed with the episode.
Hopefully it will get better as the series goes on.
Some funny parts but not one of the best thats for sure.
Good to see Leon back, yeah kind of sick of Cheryl.
Suzie is top form as was Jeff.
    Fingers crossed for episode too
I thought the scene outside the bathroom was a bit on the risky side and not in the usual CYE vain.
Although the season when he commented on one of the restaurant partners son's bits was priceless (f*ck hugh)

Susie telling Jeff that there's no chance that they'd have an amicable divorce and that she'd nail his balls to the wall (or words to that effect) was the episode's highlight for me!

Another very good episode. I love when Larry, Funkhauser, Jeff, Leon and Richard Lewis interact, they're like kids.

Funniest bit was Leon interrupting Larry and the doc.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,386 ✭✭✭smuckers

Agreed its very very good so far :D

Thought this one was very good. Larry arguing with the women in the shelter was priceless. Loved how obnoxious he and Leon were discussing how the heavyweight woman just conned her way in :D

Is it me or is Bob Einsten's (Funkhouser) plastic surgery a lot less noticeable this year?

It still amazes me he's 70!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,675 ✭✭✭ronnie3585

There shouldn't be motherf*ckers in this world cutting down titties.

    Love. Leon.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,321 ✭✭✭sham69

    Thats more like it...

I wasnt mad on first episode but I thought last nights was great.
    Like curb of old.
I thought funkhousers face looks more plastic this season to be honest but for 70 you can't really argue.

A real boys episide with the lads going to the burlesque show, Leon is class.
The other black guy getting arrested in Larry's house, priceless.
Overall a great episode , roll on next week.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,386 ✭✭✭smuckers

    Next week sounds even better!

Larry is deemed a "social assassin" at a restaurant, on the golf course, and at a dinner party

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,386 ✭✭✭smuckers

Leon coming into the hospital looking for money was brilliant!

The burlesque dancer I'll say no more. :D

Loved this weeks ep, very funny and the social assassin story was the best, loved the way Sammi acted like Susie hahaa.

  • Moderators, Entertainment Moderators Posts: 18,004 Mod ✭✭✭✭ixoy

Very good this week: "You want to f**k me like Israel f**ked my country?"
    LOL!
Liked how everyone wanted to use Larry's powers of obnoxiousness for themselves. His utter disrespect for Funkhauser's re-born faith was great (esp. shouting about the yamaka falling on the floor).

Just watched it. One of my faves so far. "When did you orgasam...when she f****d the Jew out of you?"

Best episode of the season so far, without question.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,321 ✭✭✭sham69

wow, episode 3 defo the best so far.
Sammi was great, funkhauser is class this season.

    Prettaay good so far.

The first two episodes were decent, the last one was an all-time classic.

Really looking forward to the New York episodes, Gervais, Michael J Fox, and hopefully Cousin Andy is in there too.

Best episode yet. Wasn't overly impressed with the first two but the last two have been great, especially this one. The dispute over the cabinet was gold.

the lying aspect way up is very Seinfeldian great episode!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,477 ✭✭✭newbie2

Probably my favourite episode of all time.

    Great episode.

Quite enjoyed that one, even if it didn't hit the heights of the previous week.

Larry vs 'Big Dog' being especially good.

Agree with most of the comments on here. Episode 3 > episode 2 > episode 1.

Episode 3 (about the chicken restaurent) is prob my favourite all time curb episode. Deals with a sensitive, complex issue in an interesting, nuanced yet hilarious way! Bravo L.D.!!

he's on conan o'brien now on 3e. the plastic surgery looks dreadful. it's like they pulled everything down to his neck and tied it there, then pumped his lips up.

Just saw that now. Surely it's a joke. They were hilarious looking anyway.

That was a brilliant episode the best so far IMO. Chat & Cut will be used by me from now on.

Nice episode, although a bit obvious where the 'moving to new york' thing was going as that was one of the selling points for Season 8.

I was expecting the Vets wife to make more of the remark at dinner about personal questions and tell her husband so he'd then be mad at larry the next day. I think Larry was a bit puzzled as to why it hadn;t blown up in his face too .. nice red herring:D
