    Action: Die Hard, Lethal Weapon (they just do not make 'em like they used to) the new A-Team wasn't bad, The Losers also entertaining.
    Comedy: Blazing Saddles- personal favourite. Police Academy. O Brother, Where Art Thou.
    More recent, but somewhat less epic, Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, Scott Pilgrim.

    Any other genre isn't great for a movie night with friends, imo.
