As was mentioned in another thread astro is great craic n good for keeping fit! I've only moved to LK so I don't even know if there is astro but I'm gonna look into it n try set up a 5 aside, who's up for it? Main reason for me is to get out the house, meet other peple n get fit for new season

Whoever wants in jus post n if ya know where the nearest astro is let me know, I'll be home Friday n I'll try get it set up fo next week if we get the numbers

Not interested in playing but there's an astro out behind the Pin Tavern at Ballyraine.

Think theres a few pitches at Bonagee's ground opposite the Clanree hotel as well

count me in for that.........stay away from the pin tavern though!! Boals Goals out past the Clanree or the pitches at Bonagee are the best around.......Boals being your best bet i'd say!

Illistrin School has an astro pitch as well, and from what I heard its very good.

As for who to contact to book it I am not sure,maybe ring the school itself.

The full pitch can cater a 8 a side game easy.

Aura is expensive and more suited to 11 a side astro, or the pitch can be split by a big curtain which isnt great. Boals is the best in town, Bonagee if you can get it. I can get extra bodies aswell if needed.

Im all for boals then cos i like playing off the walls at fives! hate playing fives on half a full size pitch! and the walk would do me good out to there too

the one i always went to is boals goals. out beside dual carraigeway. 60 quid an hour and like bonagee they have a net over the top but the ground is much better, rubber bits make it easier all round

So thats 7 definently's and 2 maybes also I should have a few more names to add to that list but it will be the weekend, they are in turkey at the minute, could have 4 or 5 more names to add.

going by that we have enough people, but still if anyone wants to join in feel free i'm sure we will have a drop out of 5 before kick off . Anyone phone round for availability? If not i can do that tomorrow?

Sorry lads had alot on, I can play any night any time really jus need a days notice. We should try get 12-14, from playin at home a few usually drop out and better to have a couple extra than not enough

Nothing set in stone yet as regards a night + time were just getting the numbers sorted here now and which nights suit / don't suit people ect

happy days then if after 7 mon, any time thu, after 6.30 fri id be up for it. Should be available sundays too but from experience normally a nightmare getting footy sorted on sundays!

So thats a minimum of 11 which means we have enough for a game and we can get more if needed (I could get a few more and 0lordy might get some more too if we need to) so i will give a ring tomorrow and see if we can get a slot for midweek for after 8 (midweek after 8 seems to suit everyone best), I'll see what days they have free then stick up a poll with the times / days they have free and we can decide then sure.

There will prob still be room for people to play as i'm sure not everyone will be able to play every week ect, so still stick your name down if interested, You can play 5 or 6 a side in Boals goals no bother too!

No bother at all GRAHAMR32 I'll stick your name on the list, and i think most of us are in the same boat as yourself too, looking for a kickabout and get fitter.

Just of the phone with boals goals, €60 for the hour, they have only 2 free time slots free 7.30 tuesday night and 8.30 on a friday night, he aslo said 6 a side plays better on their pitches so aim for 12 people but if only 10 can make it on a given week we can still play but still aim for 12, what's all think?

Edit. I've added a poll to the thread now, to vote for which night suits best or if you can play either time you can vote for the 2 nights. Also just to add the fella said that a slot is coming free at 8 or 8.30 on tuesday but it mightn't be for a few weeks yet, but he said will phone me if it's free for next week.
