after a numerous security issues with dropbox i decided to move away from it. this is the latest one i have found with 50gb when you refer a friend.

What security issues did you have with Dropbox that you wouldn't have with Spideroak (or Sugarsync, or any other comparable online storage system)?

Dropbox told customers 'your files are private, not even us can read them' but turned out to be a complete lie when an employee of Dropbox on their forums posted a message that suggested he could see the contents.

Also, Dropbox seems to be very hackable:

If SpiderOak is better, I don't know but Dropbox has lost some of its shine...

I just noticed, it is UP TO 50GB (not 50GB for one referral which is how I read it initially)
