Not giving away the winner but using tags anyway here just in case my reaction gives it awayI was very surprised by who won
Amazing the production that goes into it compared to the other versions, like an episode every day when it's shown in Oz. Major money spent on it from the looks of it. Is season 3 the same ?? The Irish version isn't even on yet and already I have a feeling it will be a disappointment after seeing the Australian one, even though I preferred the presenters on the UK one.0 -

It looked so hard!When it was between Andre and Sam today, I was nearly sweating. But yay, Go Andre He's so cute, aaaahh. it wouldn't be the same without him tbh.

These shows a really not good for my mental health , I'm off all things yummy after a recent cholesterol check.
Watching today's desert on RTE was pure torture while eating my "lovely" rice cakes

About time too!! Loving the series - didnt read all the thread in case I got a clue who won - Ive been watching since it started and dont want to ruin it. What am I going to do with my afternoons when it finishes!!!

Oh, I was going to mention how cheesy the theme music is compared to the English oneGirlfriend was watching this when I arrived home from work..
.. must have gotten it directly from Watch as they have the uber dodgy music ("Turn the heat up.. baby we're on fire.. so COME ON!") over the intro / closing titles.
For those who don't know.. Katy Perry's "Hot And Cold" is the theme music used in Oz but there's issues in getting the rights for it internationally. The intro with all the contestants doing the 'Oh, I see you've caught me icing cupcakes/dropping a red substance into a bowl while looking sinister' thing is pretty cringey anyway... 0 -

Seemingly Chris and Julia (chick with eyebrows) are now an item. They were the challenger on Oz ironchef. Don't know how they got on though.
I really like the masterclasses. I often learn something although they can be a bit ridiculous at times. The koftas and stuffed squid are fab and always a hit.
He must be twice her age :eek: She'd be even too young for me and Chris has over 10 years on me
Beautiful girl though, either the others are midgets or she is super tall, guess with Chris wears the hat to compensate for the difference in height I guess :pac:0 -

I thought Julie was the weakest the whole way through the series compared to say Chris or Justine and Po and also some of the others gone too , but maybe that was just her pessimistic view on everything she cooks and the tears.
She does get good feedback, they made it look today like she was out for sure but they loved her savoury pie, as did I yum
But Po was on another level altogether much as I wanted her to fail after picking the theme.0 -

For the people with Sky, Season 2 is on Watch now and they've just finished picking the top 24 (so the 'real' show is starting now)
It's on twice a day early morning and early evening (same episodes), so just set series link. 0 -

Weird not having Justine on it. She was fairly average for a long while and then all of a sudden just came into her own.
Not keen on Chris at all. he can look so sly at times and if he doesn't win challenges he is really hard on himself

I love homestyle cooking so I have liked most of Julie's dishes. And I did really like her book idea!
I know she didn't technically finish, but if she had another 10seconds she would have
Poh always looks petrified when the judges try her food. She should be so confident as it is very rare for her to hand over a bad dish to the judges.
No loss with Chris... he can go and take his pig heads and beer with him...0 -

Was pleasantly surprised with that, glad its them two in the final. Complete contrasts in style and both a pretty passionate about what they are doing.
I think Julies idea for the book was what pushed her ahead. This challenge wasn't just about the food, but the whole package.
Not sure who I want to win if I'm honest, but glad its down to those two.

Well Julie can cook, he time management is crap though, and she cracks when something goes wrong. Makes for good tv when it happens.
As for the others being pissed off she is the final, I'd be more pissed off the fact Poh is still there considering she was eliminated before
I like the two finalists though, and glad to see them there. Chris seemed to coast for the last few rounds, or maybe he had nothing "new" left.
One thing though, all though it shares the name with the British version, the two shows are miles apart.0 -

Hang on, Poh was eliminated and then brought back so if anyone had any right to be pissed off I would have said Julie and Chris did.
Part of the competition is a book deal so obviously the idea is going to have some weight at this stage.
Agree Julie is a great cook but as she has not worked in a professional kitchen you can see that her time management needs serious working on.

It's weird, that Lucas guy hasn't been in it for ages and he hasn't done any of the tasks but he's in the final
