It's not that bad. I'm not hungry or anything. If I'm hungry, I'll eat.

Most of what I used to eat was just for the sake of eating.

I've had breakfast, lunch, dinner, and a treat.

It doesnt matter how full you feel, a 1400 calorie deficit will send your body into starvation mode.

Well, to be fair, I think I'm burning nowhere near that much calories.

Do you not have any placements? When do you need the placement for? Have you thought about what you want to do when you leave school? Consider all those things first and then crack out the phone book

Haha so much for all this talk of CVs and cover letters and shizz, I did all that but could've gotten my placement just as easily by walking in and asking haha :p

    Calorie Deficit: 1,430.

Think that's me done for the night anyway. Might have something small later if I really need it.

2 days down, 89 to go.

How did you manage to burn nearly 3000 calories in a day :eek::eek:

Fitday.com gave me that figure based on my weight, height, age, and lifestyle.

My own calculations are in and around there too, perhaps slightly lower.

    Dear Claire;
My name is M and I am writing to you regarding Work Experience in the Irish Times. I got your contact details off a Transition Year website, Transition Year Help (http://www.transitionyearhelp.com/#!). I would be interested to do Work Experience with you as English is my strongest subject in school and I am very exited at the prospect of doing it with such a large newspaper. I enclose a copy of my CV and am open to any questions you need answered about it. My school currently offers Work Experience placements to us every Tuesday and I could send you a form to complete if you are interested in taking me on for some time.
    Thank you for your time,
    M

Is this ok lads? Help us out :(

    I'm saying

"As part of the Transition Year course, we are expected to do (whatever amount of time) Work Experience"

    Then whatever else

And while you're at it, it should be:

"I would be interested in doing work experience" and not "I would be interested to do work experience."

How can I make some decent money online? Without selling stuff.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,472 ✭✭✭SChique00

Um, taking surveys? Be weary of which websites you go to though because some of them are measly or slow when it comes to payouts :L

I've tried that before. It's not worth the hassle!

I'm going to have a look into eBay now.

Or not. You have to have a credit card added to your Paypal account. Is my bank account not enough like?

Hahaha ah I had such a great weekend :o Though, I practically fell all the way down the side of the mountains, and lost not one, nor two, but three shoes to the mighty wrath of the bog... Such craic though :L

I always thought you had to do both as it would be an incentive to not do the theory test?
