having two papers rechecked and still haven't heard back from chartered accountants about them yet, annoyingly they say they might not have a result until September 28th latest, with the repeats starting on the 2nd!

Well I heard Tax is back to the previous examiner so we can expect a paper similar to the past papers this time not the type we got in summer.

SMFA i went to some revision and the consensus is that we should see variances, transfer price or interest risk as one of the big questions. Obviously same as always in Q1.
Doing all the past papers for this at the moment, the amount of years where there is one nice theory question with ok calculations is unreal, i guess we got unlucky in the summer. One thing in Q1 i hope we dont get is corporate restructuring!

FR ive no idea, just hoping for a straight forward consol with subsid and associate, then two ok questions. hoping for no disposal of subsid or step acquisition etc! would be very harsh for the repeat paper to be even harder!

Oh really so the tax examiner is different, do they not write the papers back in Feb at the same time (sum and Aut) together?
Which revision course did you attend for SFMA was there any other hints for this exam the course is so broad.

That's a really dangerous game to play to be honest.
It's easy for me to say this as I passed first time but not too sure you can leave much out.

    Hi all,

Sat the cap 2 auditing paper yesterday and feel that after doing a lot of study using past papers, that i still made a hash of it. I found it difficult to understand the questions being asked and how to outline the answer, and so completely panicked and fluffed it. I plan on preparing myself soon for the repeats, so if anyone can give me any help with exam technique for auditing i would be very grateful.
