Cross Trainor or Vibro Plate??

    Hi Guys,

    Looking for advise, want to buy a new piece of equipment but don't know which one to get, any advise? Is the Vibroplate all hype?? I'm looking to tone up after having a baby so which would be best to use - if either? Would I be better off with a threadmill??

    Treadmill.
    I bought a vibro plate - it didnt do a thing for me.
    They may very well improve core balance etc, but at the end of the day they cant burn calories which is what you want.

    Yeah exactly - I used one for about 6 weeks after I had the baby as I was going to a weddinG, It did seem to tighten up my tummy a bit but I didn't loss one bit of weight while using it. Do you know if the crosstrainor's are any good?

    Any piece of equipment, training style, or training program is only as good as the probability of you sticking to it.

    There's going to be no significant difference between a treadmill and crosstrainer, other than which one you'll spend more time on.

    I'd prefer the crosstrainer if I HAD to buy something because it's low impact and you can just plonk it in front of the TV and keep going. And they tend to be quiet.

    That being said, if you had the time and were able to get out of the house, you could probably do a years worth of kettlebell classes 2x per week and get out for a walk once a week on your own and get better results.

    Nothing like that anywhere near me, (class wise) any idea where I could get the kettle drums as went to buy them in lifestyle sports at the weekend & they only had 17.5 which I found way too hard to lift

    Kettlebells can be found in most 'sports' shops these days, and Argos and even some supermarkets carry them.

    But only with the tv volume at max and the rest of the house wearing earplugs...

    Second the go to a class advice. Easier to stick to.

    If I had the choice I'd get a crosstrainer. I go to the gym mostly for weights so don't really use that machine enough. I've started running at night though, the advantage of that is it doesn't take up space, and it's free! So that COULD be an option. Otherwise I'd definitely choose a crosstrainer over the Vibroplate thingy.

    A set of weights would also help you tone up too!
