45 minutes classes?

    what happened to the hour long classes at the gym?

    Because the vast majority of the population cannot exercise for an hour. That is all.

    I've been going the opposite way...

    I keep adding things. Stepper, then treadmill, then bike, then machines plus stretching before and after. I'm at about 90 mins now.

    I think he was refering to organised classes, such as aerobics, boxercise or bodypump.
    Not just time spent in the gym.

    In my gym there are 45 and 60 minute options

    I've seen a lot of classes going at 45 minutes.
    Take 15 minutes for the warm-up and cool down and 30 minutes for the exercise and it seems fine.

    Done moreso imo for busy professionals who need to get in and out quick.
