Its gone into receivership, the receiver is more than happy to keep the gym open as its the most profitable in the corral leisure group(and is currently doing very well). Its a matter of rent going unpaid by some nuckle head hight up in management.

If it does go belly-up then there's a brilliant gym in Raw just a minute's walk up the street.

and how many left ?? place has gone down-hill over the last 9 months. They got rid of a lot of the good full time staff, replaced them with part-timers who had no interest. The staff were the reason why it was a good gym over the years.

They had no money, were offering membership for work (in the studio) to builders shouting it around. The inside (changing rooms, machine area and showers) are old and worn

I'd say the rent is huge and with membership possibly dropping something they are struggling with.

Just to confrim I have been appointed Receiver and Manager within the past couple of weeks of the Fitness Dock Limited.

The intention is that the club will continue to operate as a fitness centre/gym for the foreseeable future and a programme of refurbishment including painting and some new flooring will be commencing very shortly.

I look forward to working towards improving the experience of members in the coming weeks and months. All memberships continue to operate as normal and members should have no concerns regarding renewing their subscriptions.

    Best Regards

If you trained in my gym you would have a nervous break down.

Is the dr referring to that other Dr - Camillus Muldowney MD Coral Leisure and 'star' of The Apprentice 2010 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KP6KLkqmYfU&feature=player_detailpage#t=875s - inquiring minds want to know. Anyway how much does it cost to advertise a brand on The Apprentice? Not money well spent. Maybe better spent on staff and equipment and less on vanity projects (or even better yet, and I grant this is a novel thought, how about paying the rent - although it seems it is possible to be viewed as being both profitable and successful and still not pay the rent. A business so successful it is in Administration  ). Still a lick of paint and new flooring and the jobs a good'un.

'intention' , 'the foreseeable future' - such commitment, these are words that would inspire membership renewals and new signings... (perhaps in a galaxy far far away - but in this one? - This isn't the gym you are looking for).

People really shouldn't have so much to say about topics they know so little about.
