    Potential consequences of doing this?

Assuming nothing straight up illegal is done, what use could any person have of finding someone else acting like a 'tit'? I know it's a terrible idea to question the mighty say of a Mod, but I just don't get what you were getting at?

Many people, particularly young people, don't think before they post. They may not realise it, but they post a lot of information which when put together comes very close to identifying them.

You wouldn't believe the amount of requests that come into boards when people have copped themselves on asking to have posts removed in case their boss sees them.

    True that. ^

I've already had to ask mods to delete a few posts of mine and I still reckon I'm completely recognisable to anyone I know who was interested enough to follow my posts up.

Mhmmmm tbh don't say anything on the internet that you wouldn't be comfortable with people you know knowing about, thankfully I haven't been in a position where what I post has come back to haunt me but I'm certainly wary of it after hearing stories in the past. I don't really disclose too much personal information (still too much though I fear) and none of my friends even know who The National are, so that's good. :p

I have said too much in the past, but I'm much more conscious of what I post now. I've been found by one person I know IRL, and I've bumped into another person I know on here.

But an earthquake would never strike Ireland, we're in the middle of a plate.
    Your logic is flawed :pac:

New York state is int he middle of a plate. Virginia state is in the middle of a plate. The Irish Republic is in the middle of a plate. The Austrian Republic is in the middle of a plate.
