Not really old cinema, I just read lots of old books, and many movies are based on them.

Regards to modern cinema, I changed to European and slowly Asian movies. Italian, French and Polish are really terrific. They're gaining more and more international recognition each year.

Unless of course something with De Niro, Pacino, Fishburne or Jackson comes out. "They're some legends".

I wasn't being sarcastic if you thought I was. I watch film noir quite a lot, which is really quite strange through most peoples eyes. The oldies are always the goodies.

If you like Euro-film I can only assume you've seen Waltz With Bashir? God I love that film so much.

No sh*t ;o . I wrote about Sin City in mocks. You know, neo-noir, aestheticization of violence and how Tarantino and others used it.

About Waltz wiith Basheer, I've heard about it, but didn't see it.

Raandoom - Sophie Marceau, what an actress:D.

Yep, Sin City is a brilliant testament to what makes film noir so appealing, Tarantino actually worked with Robert Rodriguez as a guest director in the film. I remember writing about The Shining in the mock, which I hope the examiner appreciates(the book not the film).

Waltz With Bashir is a visceral tale of one mans descent into psychological breakdown in his recollection of the Lebanon War. It's very well told, and the constant time shift between Bashir, now a middle aged man, and his new found memories is fascinating. It's a very detailed cartoon, look at the trailer, I hope you watch it some day, (its extremely easy to get on internet)
    Here is the trailer:

I know about Tarantino, that's why I wrote it :). Now Sin City 2 is coming out, I'll see how that looks for sure!

Another 2 movies I like are "Boyz n the Hood" and "Shaft" . I just find movies set in the Harlems etc. much more appealing then Mission Impossible or that kind of thing.

I'd bet you'd love Training Day. You defo would.

P.S I can't believe i forgot to tell you guys about this vid we had to watch for SPHE sent by the Department of Education. As soon as our teacher pressed play on the DVD, I couldn't breathe because of my laughter. What the **** was the Department of Education thinking, sending THIS to schools for SPHE? Tell me your genuine opinion:

If you cant get that to work, heres direct link

1:29 kinda reminded me of the scene with ZED in Pulp Fiction.

    Very educational nonetheless! lol...

Damn, you sure it's broken? Shame, right before your bondage trip to Frankfurter land. Jk, jk. Jk..... Jk.

Watch the vid in my other post, the backstory needs to be read too. Did anyone else have to watch it for SPHE? Dep of Education sent them to all secondary schools with SPHE on curriculum.

Ever since watching that I put on a rubber when I wake up...

Yeah were you smoking kush last night? Some pics were almost too random to handle. Almost. I can comprehend confused gibberish really well due to me exceptional abilities in that area.

The awkward moment when you get summer holidays and it dawns on you how boring summer is going to be...

I swear, next year I am going to make an effort to make plans to make summer worthwhile.

Yeah you always think that going out will make it epic but that gets boring after a week. God bless thepiratebay.org, free movies, music and tv shows for everybody, arrrgh shiver me timbers!

I could give you some life changing movies to watch?

You don't want to know about yesterday:D.

Well, I'm kind of mad about this year, usually we have 3 months of holiday, and this year only 2 :[ . Kinda messes up my plans.

Basis of holiday is cheap imported drink!

Yeah list some out dude, I've already decided to watch copious amounts of tv shows, movies and read books, but I always feel hideously anti-social and like a loser. :p But sure, I never get time to do this during term-time so whatever, and it's been a long year, I can afford to be a bit anti-social for a few months. :pac:

I will PM you a bona fide list when I get my laptop, but this will get you going, just 1. The most important film ever in my life:

    Taxi Driver

    Link: http://www.novamov.com/mobile/player.php?v=49deaac1ed7ac

Tell me if the link is broken.

And you shouldn't worry about what others think of you, if you want to go out, then do so, if YOU want. If you don't want to go out, thats absolutely fine. **** what people think. I've got an anti social element to me in that I often choose to stay in watching tv, movies or just music for hours. I've got a lot of friends like that at school, they only think of what others think of them. Controlling your own life will make others respect you.

Sorry if that reads badly, btw Slow Show, im not on laptop. I hope that helps a little bit. If I sound a bit sinister, its just that I have a strong opinion on a lot of things.... Anyway, enjoy! Travis Barker is the best anti hero ever (main character of Taxi Driver)

Hey sound, but you might wanna take off the link, it's a bad idea to share illegal links and stuff on Boards, as they're responsible for everything posted and that's not exactly the kinda thing to be endorsed. And I'm well able to find stuff myself anyway. :)

Ah yeah, I like just chilling on my own a bit too, I think there needs to be a fair balance though. I live in such a crap location too, there's nothing to do and no one to do it with, but I usually manage to stay sane. :)

Off topic sections are barely moderated, if, at all....

I'm going off for 2 months:D. Truth be told there is not a whole load you can do in Ireland. Of course, there are nice landscapes etc. but.. but it's just not the same as everywhere else.
