Edit: Hopefully there won't be any discos in my area. I feel like a bit of a social outcast because I think they are horrendously bad. I mean, why would I pay ten euro to be exposed to deafening noise in an overcrowded room? Anyone else despise even the thought of attending discos?

I dont mind them, but theres one that goes on like every month and it was strictly 15 & over, then all of a sudden 6th class people were runnin all over the place, it was **** from then on and i never returned :L

I haven't a clue what I'm doing after the JC tbh, there's discos but the ones we're talking about are far away and I'm actually not even bothered, very sick of them (I've been to too many in the past)...we were entertaining the possibility of a beach party, which sounds far more fun, but dunno what's happened to that now. So, maybe nothing...I'm such a lazy bum, I don't even care if I don't celebrate the end :L. I'd rather stay in and watch Scrubs or something...sigh, I'll have to go to a results night disco anyway, and then hopefully I can recede into anti-socialness and call it as 'being too old for discos'.

They were fun for a while, they had their run.

About drinking after the JC, I know I won't be able to stop ye and if I try talk you out of it, I'll just fail, so instead I'll just give you some advice.

Don't overdo it. You want to remember enjoying the night and you don't want to be on the ground throwing up everywhere. Be reasonable with your intake, especially if it is your first time. You mightn't know what alcohol does to you, you've never experienced it. Drink slowly, you don't know how much you can take.

AND, you don't want to be grounded for the summer either. Plus, you will want your parents to allow you to go out Results Night as well. If you overdo it now, you mightn't be trusted then.

Just keep it reasonable, and don't be pressurized into it if you don't want to go. And you're probably better off to keep away from vodka altogether.

You're missing the idea though, people on JC night arent going to have a "social drink" if you will, they are drinking JUST to get wasted.

Im not saying ill never drink, just not like that. Its disgraceful. Its quite deceptive, too (to your parents, unless they know, but that'd be weird)

And theres nothing more scummy than seeing girls swigging out of a Smirnoff bottle, and im not being sexist... Its just from a male perspective.

Ha, im one of the few people in my year who doesnt drink, I wouldnt do it just cuz someone offered me, i prefer my own instinct =P

I agree, I'm a girl and I think it's a disgrace seeing girls drunk and running all over the place especially if they're under-aged .__.
