Right so I'll be finishing my leaving cert in the next few weeks and shedding the pounds is one of my plans for the summer. I'm currently just under 6'2 and weigh 14stone and 6 pounds, medium build.

I honestly don't know where to start diet wise, I've seen various charts saying eat this much protein, this much carbs etc etc but I honestly have no idea what my current diet is like, if I'm getting enough or too much calories or what! What I'm really looking for is a diet that will help me with my weight loss. My self control has been growing so I don't cave to cravings often.

My current diet is: big bowl of crunchy nut cornflakes (probably a double portion) and 1 neste cafe mocha (shall have to ween myself off them =\)

Lunch: a sandwich, white bread, butter, lettuce and some form of meat.(processed unless there are leftovers)

Dinner: veges (mushrooms, broccoli, carrots, or combination of) potatoes of some form, at least 3 potatoes. Meat - chicken fillets, bacon, fish of some sort.

Drinks wise I became a big water drinker after having glandular fever at the start of the year so I'm planning to get rid of the pepsi max from my diet altogether.

I would probably have a packet of crisps a day, and a packet of go ahead biscuits.

Exercise, Im starting cycling and at the moment (well before LC started) I'd go for a 2 hour cycle every second day, a few uphills there, take either no break or a min or 2 breather after some hills. Also warm up with some push ups (5x3), crunches (8x3) and lifting my school bag full of books (10x3) :P

Once the LC is done Ill be starting to learn to cook as well so any recommendations of nice healthy dishes that I should start with for dinners and lunches? :)

Oh, and my sleep pattern must be changed :L

    Thanks in advance :)
