Would 2nd McSwiggans. There were about 17 of us there for a stag and they were very accommodating. The staff were sound, and the Guinness was great and only €3.50 for a pint (mind you that was about 2 years ago).

    Hey guys,

12 of us heading on a stag to Galway Fri-Sun this weekend. We have accommodation and activities sorted, so just wondering if the nightlife places mentioned earlier in the thread are still the good ones to go to? Just looking for somewhere with a decent crowd.

    Cheers.

It's all happening around Shop Street, which is where most recommendations are.
King's Head, Halo, The Skeff, O'Connell's - all good places for a stag.

And just go in in 2s and 3s. Especially to places like o connells, no problem once inside but I have seen them turn away big groups at the door. Pucan another good spot, would recommend there and o connells during the day!

A bit out there, but I really like Harry's as a pub - good quality pints & prices and do good food too. Very accommodating if you message them on facebook and ask for a big table in advance too. it's just a couple mins walk up from Eyre Square - close enough to start your day there.
