    Winnings on 31st August 2018: €0
    Last win: 17th August 2018: €50
    Weeks since last win: 2
€134k invested in prize bonds since July 2017
Win ratio: 8 wins in 61 weeks (13%)
    2017 (Jul-Dec): 5 x €50 = €250
    2018 (Jan-date): 3 x €50 = €150

@honeybear - apologies I just saw your question today. Kuva has posted one of the answers; the other reason for me "investing" in prize bonds is that interest rates are so low in the banks, and prize bonds offer more flexibility to withdraw when required.

This could be a good time for those with substantial holdings to work out what interest rate equivalent they earned in prizes in the year starting 1 August 2017. This is when the 0.5% interest rate came in.

Mine worked out at 0.35%. Included in the 0.5% are the big prizes, so I think this would be about right for the €50 prizes. It was a strange year, with all my prizes coming in the first 13 weeks and the last 13 weeks, and none in the 26 weeks in the middle.

The "new year" has started off spectacularly well for me with 4 wins in the 4 draws in August so far.

I cashed in on at least two occasions but less than 5% of our overall holdings. Mine was .36% from Aug 17 to July 18 whereas my overall for 2017 was .59% I seem have have dropped off the radar since they reduced in Aug 17. Each Friday just makes me more and more depressed but as I (and others) have said previously, I need to be able to access my money at short notice.

2 X €50 for us today after a lengthy drought. Funnily enough, we sold some bonds earlier this week - it does make you wonder doesn’t it

I rang Killorglin to confirm/complain a few weeks ago re the fact that the NTMA has decided not to name the giver when notification of prizebonds, bought as a gift, is sent to the new baby/birthday boy, married couple etc. I was asked for my name and address and thought I'd definitely be moving to the top of the leader board ..... zilch, nada, nought ...

My winning streak came to an end today, even though there were 82 winners in Louth, compared to an average of 57 for the previous 4 draws. Dublin got the 50K, 5 of the 10 1K prizes, and 6 of the 10 €500 prizes. Didn't leave much for the country people.

From the serial numbers of the new bonds I got this month, about 5.1 million were issued in 4 weeks.

€50 for me today. The number of prizes is increasing each month. 4140 in March, 4437 this month. So the money is still coming in.

Won 2 X €50 today on the bonds which I got re-issued in early summer. It's good news in that it proves they are in the draw :):) but seeing as it's a large 5 figure investment, it's still a poxy return.:(
