    Hi,

Q: How many miles do you expect to get for €20 (petrol, Ave. 1.49.9/l)

Im well aware there are many, many factors to this question but not being too serious about it I usually expect 120 miles (1.8 engine, price: 1.49.9) for mostly rural driving. Of course not always that much but Im happy once Im close to 100 miles.

So how many would you expect for €20?

€20 got me from limerick to dublin doing 120-130kmph in a 2.0L 318 at the weekend. Happy enough with that.

About a week. Depends I suppose.
Is that 20euro at the top of the tank or at the bottom of the tank - I find my car goes much further on the 20euro at the top of the tank.

    ;-)

Looks like Im not doing too bad for 100 odd for €20, its an Alfa 156 1.8 Twin Spark (engine well maintained), was wondering this now happy to be getting similar to your 1.6l's

I usually throw in €50 though as im way too lazy to go to the pumps every other day, getting 270mls out of that at the moment.
I will brim her some day to work out mpg but 73lt tank will cost at least €110 to find out.

Nope, no turbo, the auto saps a good 3 or 4 mpg. The 1993 520i I had last year was 3mpg lighter than the ZT.

The MG ZT 160 were 1.8T in the later years.

    €20 would give me about 190 miles :D It's a motorbike though - Yamaha Fazer :D

2.0l Accord would give me about 110 miles for the same money.

I'd get about 110 Miles for 20 quid. 1.6 Focus. Normally fill up once a week, this week filled up on Thursday and had to put in another 30 quid on Saturday:(

Yesterday put in €15 (153.9c) and got 100 miles in 1.8l S40 petrol. So that would be 133 miles with €20.

I nearly prefer it though to be honest. 95% of the time I don't wish it was a manual. The 20% ish mpg difference isn't really an issue all things considered.

Think there must be something wrong with the 328, if a 735 from similar era is doing better mpg

About 100 miles through mostly urban driving.

I usually chicken out when I see the fuel gauge at its lowest and re-fill, so it is possible that the car is capable of a bit more.

I dunno, it's serviced recently, maybe the v8 on the 335 is more efficient than the straight 6?

Ehhhh..... Since when does a 335 have a V8? Think ya meant 735

I drive a 335 and would get about 60 miles normal driving on of €20.

I could lower that to about 25 miles if I really wanted to open it up

Dont most cars have a reserve of 5-7litres afaik

Doubt it, the 735 would be heavier and (should) take more fuel to move it.

Actually rereading your post your 3'er is an auto, if the 735 was a manual that might explain the difference. Otherwise could be different driving conditions etc.
