So ive been cutting for 6 weeks now and doing my best to eat clean, Monday to Friday im perfect at it and have a really good diet which doesnt leave me hungry at all but still leave me in a deficit.

the BIG prolem is that by the time i get to the weekend my body is screaming for sugar....Friday may not be so bad but by saturday evening its a downward spiral, in other words once i start i can not stop and then back to clean on Monday for another week.

So i was wondering is it the very clean during the week that makes cravings so bad at weekends, i know people say have a cheat meal, but its the cheat meal that sends me into overdrive for more....does that sound silly?

anyway...having thought about it i was think of getting some protein bars or similar..cutting them in half and freezing them, then having one a day with tea or what every as a daily treat but with calories counted in...and im hoping this routine keep the weekend binges off.......any opinions?

Not at all. I've been eating clean for a while now and haven't had crisps is ages. Last night the parents bought a big bag of Frisps. I had a packet, followed by another packet and starting wondering why there was no chocolate in the house :D

Just shows that it's all or nothing for me!

    Protein bars are generally horrible.

Make Transform's Paelo bars. So good and so easy to make.

I also like egg brownie. 2 eggs beating, 1TBS of unsweetened cocoa and 1TS of splenda. Mix together in a bowl. Microwave for 30 seconds, stir then microwave for another 20. Looks like a chocolate brownie and tastes amazing.

I always, always, always have a treat in a day no matter how large the calorie deficit I'm on. Biccy with my coffee. Something like that. Keeps me sane tbh.

so say you didnt have your daily treat during the week...would you be more inclined to break the diet at the weekend?

Finding it hard myself. Usually don't have a sweet tooth but lately I'm craving sugar badly. Have a square of dark orange chocolate, or put a spoon of nutella on my strawberries or banana

I think so. It's more that I get ground down by trying to be "good" all the time.

I try to be smart about it too. Usually if I'm on a deficit I'll make oat pancakes to start the day. Bit of jam on them + mug of coffee = world of win but still mostly healthy.

    just to report back!

I got some myoplex bars and split them all in half and put then in the freezer, so every day after work i have half a frozen bar with tea, i found that i had no cravings during the week and at the weekend i had no binge urge as i knew in my head that i had my daily treat, so half a frozen protein bar a day is the way for me to go!!
