Bought one years ago. In my opinion it didn't work. I think they are pretty expensive so I would save myself the money.

It's electrical muscle stimulation - basically using an external source of stimulation on the nerve to contract muscle, as opposed to the internal signal from brain to nerve to muscle.

14 day 'change your mind' period introduced today on any items purchased over the net (heard this on the radio so no link) - you could try it and see how you go, knowing you can get your money back?

    It's a gimmick.

it's a gimmick, there's no substitute for good sweaty exercise and eating sensibly, people always looking for shortcuts. Why can't people just enjoy working out? Not having a go at the OP but people can be so stupid with these bleedin gimmicks.

    It's a gimmick.

+1, all i can see it do is giving you a bloody hernia!!

But c'mon, use a bit of common sense, if it did work - we'd all be ripped! ;)

I used one a few years ago and to go against the grain a little it does work your ab muscles and if you have low BF it will make them defined

In the same way as ab exercises won't give you a six pack, slendertone won't either but if you lose weight/BF through diet and exercise and use slendertone as a complimentary thing then it actually does work your abs but there are probably cheaper ways of doing that - buy an ab wheel

It gets a bad press as people view it as a lazy way to exercise but I worked up to over 70 (on scale of 100) and at that level it is reasonably uncomfortable
