    Hey there.

Im about 7 days time i'm going to need to wear some very short shorts (fancy dress type thing).

I'm quite tall and slim but i'm conscious that i've fallen back on the exercise of late and as a result the backs of my legs are quite soft.

I'd really really appreciate any tips anyone can give me on how to tone up this area and fast - in panic mode!

    Thanks in advance :)

I don't have any advice to give you, but I just thought I would let you know that you probably can't tone up in that time.

Go on a survivor style diet.

No, you're going to be the laughing stock at the party because of your soft untoned legs

    OP, that's an unrealistic timeframe.

Nothing you do over the course of the next week will create any noticable difference now, be it changes to your diet, or an increase in exercise (cardio or weights).

If you were to go on some ill thought out crash diet, you would only lose water and muscle, not fat, and you would put it all on and more afterwards.

My advice, long term, would be to eat healthier (nothing but veg, meat, fish, eggs, nuts, seeds with some fruit and some dairy) and to lift heavy free weights, focussing on the compound movements primarily. Do some short interval cardio training if you feel like it, as an extra to the weights. Google any of these terms if you don't understand them.
