    Hi All,

Im new to Boards.ie and would appreciate people's advice/tips on my diet and fitness regime. I realise there are threads on diet etc out there but would love a bit of guidance on my current regime

After years of sporadically going to the gym and trying to watch what i eat (unsuccessfully), i have decided to pull the thumb out and really commit to improving my fitness and shape.

I am 30 years old, 6 foot 7 and weigh 17 1/2 stone at present . my waist line is 38. Ideally i would like to loose the inflated rubber ring that resides around my waist and basically get lean - only place i seem to store weight is my stomach. Anyway, have been following the below regime for 4 weeks now and have lost 7 pounds. Any advice welcomed

    Weekly Fitness:
    • 2 x 1-hr bootcamp sessions a week
    • 1 x 5 km interval run on treadmill ( run at base level of 11km for 2 mins and then incrementally increase by .5km each time for 2 mins and then back down to 11km for 2 mins, etc)
    • 2 x 1 hour weight sessions ( 1 shoulders, back, abs ; 1 chest, arms, abs)
    Nutrition: Typical Day
    • Breakfast: 3 pieces of Fresh fruit
    • Lunch: Blazing salads ( humus, roasted veg, chick pea salad, shredded carrot and cabbage)
    • Dinner: chicken breast or piece of donegal catch or a homemade hamburger (without bun) ; Salad (Greens, tomatoes, red onion, cucumber, parmessan or feta and southwest dressing) or mixed veg
    • Liquids : 2 litres of water with a dash of diluteable orange duing day ; 3 americanos with skimmed milk and a glass of red wine at dinner
I am trying to seriously reduce my alcohol consumption but usually fall off the band wagon once every 3 weeks and end up having a few cans of bulmers
I dont eat bread or pasta or rice and don't rarely like potaotoes. On a sunday morning, i might have scrambeled eggs with loads of veg and parmessan for brunch. Once a week i might have fajitas or a pizza

Do i need to increase my cardio amount or weights? Is my nutrition satisfactory?

There is lots of great advice and support on this forum from what i can see so thanks in advance for any advice
