    Hi All

    I have the following problem on my iphone 3GS since last week. When 3G is turned off I get full signal. When I turn 3G on I get "No Service".
    I have checked another phone on O2 and they have full signal on 3G.
    I called O2 last week and they said they had a 3G outage but the problem was fixed. I have tried a network reset on my iPhone but it's still the same.
    Any ideas on how to fix this or will I have to send to Apple for repair ?

    This happens to me too! Been happening about 2 months now, didn't for the previous 7.

    Very occasionally it happens with just Edge on. Thought it was just my phone. Wonder where in the chain the problem is...

    Yeah its very annoying. Using Edge to download and browse is pretty bad tbh. All O2 say is try another sim card and then send for repair :(

    OK quick update on this problem.
    I called to O2 store and they check my sim card in different iphone and it works perfect. It seems to be a issue with the phone itself. I was told to call Apple and see if they can troubleshoot the problem.
    All the troubleshoot options they suggest I had already did.

    * Reset network settings
    * Reboot phone
    * Upgrade to latest firmware

    Apple now say if I send the phone for repair it will cost €200 as a repair charge. :eek:
    The phone is barely worth that. It now looks like I will have to upgrade to the iPhone 4 or I can put up without 3G and wait for iPhone 5 in September :D.

    All opinions will be welcomed :)

    I'd wait for the iPhone 5 - sucks in the meantime, but you'll be able to get the 4 for a significantly reduced price.
