Rosabeez, mod of this forum, starter of the now-famous 'I can has general discussion thread' and general legend around Maynooth died earlier today. I won't post up the facts here, but if anyone who knew her either through boards or in person wants to post to say something about here they can here.

I've been out in town a few times with Ro and chatted to her loads online and anyone who knew her will tell you straight off that she was one of the soundest, kindest people you could ever meet.

Gone, but will never be forgotten.

My only dealings with her was as a mod on here, and I always found her incredibly helpful and willing to give a dig out when needed. May she rest in peace.

Never had the chance to meet her, but she was one of the main reasons why this forum was such a friendly place for newbies to post. Says a lot about her character that a thread for condolences was posted in After Hours, she made this forum and Boards a nicer and friendlier place.

That's it exactly. Ro is one of the few people who you could honestly say is one of a kind. Never met anyone more welcoming, warm, playful and funny than Ro.

I'll miss you babes, this place will never be as good as it was when you were here.

I hate posting again but I just thought of the first time I met her in the Roost c.2008. She roared at me, "hey you, that maths guy, I've been walking around here with this random guy you used to teach trying to find you for an hour, we're friends from the internet". It was hilarious and I'd forgotten about it until now. Legend

I never spoke to her personally but was in the same school a year behind, and had friends in her year, there's nothing I can say that seems right. An absolute tragedy and may she rest in peace.

She once bet me a tenner that I couldn't find you and identify you (I didn't know your real name or what you looked like at the time). After ages tramping around the Maths department asking people if they were LeixlipRed, I gave up and just gave her a tenner. With which she bought us both a drink. Great woman.

The first night I met Ro was about 2.5 years ago, in the roost smoking area. I was there with some friends and Ro and her friends sat beside me and she just leaned in and whispered in my ear 'I know you from the internet...' before collapsing in to fits of giggles and then dragging me to do shots

Originally knew her from Mikado, and being on the committee together, girl was an absolute legend. Completely shocked by the news, the world has lost an epic girl.

I can't think of any suitable words, so apologies if I ramble a bit.

I first met Ro through boards, hanging out in TCN, having late night ramblings with other boardsies that eventually formed one of the many cliques on boards. It evolved into LUBNiP, which now seems very silly, but I love it for helping me become her friend.

Fortune led us to starting college in NUIM at the same time, so naturally we decided to finally meet face to face! I'm so happy I did! She was more funny, helpful and bright in real life than she was on boards (if that was possible!). I suppose our friendship kind of came full-circle when we started modding NUIM together.

I have two very fond memories of her, one from each 'life' I knew her, and both will selfishly stay with me.

I'm really going to miss you Ro.

I knew Roe through a friend from primary school and met her out a few times before actually speaking to her. I had been shifting a mutual friend on and off who she had shifted years ago and she came up to me one night in the roost and said "Your X's friend who's been meeting Y!! You're a fcuking legend!!" and so our friendship was born.

She never ceased in telling me how fabulous she thought I was (once roared "YOU ARE FCUKING GORGEOUS" down the stairs in John Hume at me at 12oc in the day) and I have so many pictures of us together on nights out, it's just breaking my heart here looking at them.

She was a livewire, she was electric, she didn't give a **** what people thought about her and she was absolutely the most bubbly person I have ever, ever met. She will be so, so missed and Maynooth and Leixlip will be lesser places without her sparkle.

RIP Roe, you were one in a million! xx
