I see Bohs have gone down the route of Salzburg by going franchise. Bohemians Setanta Sports has a nice ring to it mind you.:D

Nice trip to the sunny south east in a couple of hours, need a win to keep the pressure on Cork.

    First Divison;
    Athlone Town -v- Salthill Devon
    Limerick -v- Cork City
    Mervue United -v- Longford Town
    Monaghan United -v- Finn Harps
    Wexford Youths -v- Shelbourne

Convinced Wexford are going to get something out of this tonight, absolutely convinced of it. We're probably the only side capable of making them look half decent, as proven in Tolka at the start of the season.

Not that I'm naturally pessimistic, or anything.

Really looking forward to this one :D

Programme starts at 19:30 on Setanta Ireland I think for anyone not going to a match tonight.

Yes, hopefully the underdogs tag might suit Bohs again. I'd say they'll give it a good go again.

Far more entertainment in the first half in the Rovers v Bohs game than in 99% of soccer games I've seen which are at 'higher levels'.

Who's yer man doin commentary on Setanta? "A yellow card, MAYBE... Bit harsh though!" for the Bohs defender dragging down Twigg as he's 1 on 1 with the goalkeeper :D Lunatic!

    He's a former Bohs player.

Raging I couldn't make this one, cracking game though. Sheppard is having a stormer.

Finn's had one of his worst Rovers games yet tonight - and Bohs have done a good job marshalling him. The fact that he was still named man-of-the-match says it all about his quality.

Deserved win and we played nice football at times. Thought O'Connor was a contender for MOTM tbh as he managed to keep it at one goal. Good save from Mannus to deny Fagan(?) near the end though.

Not a bad attendance for a Monday. I would have thought close to 5k.

So nearly right, but thankfully just wide of the mark - like most of our shooting tonight, but right now I couldn't care less about any of the downsides.

We're terrible, but I didn't think Rovers looked that great tbh. It was the same in Dalymount. Deserved their win after the way Nutsy approached the game though.

O'Connor played well in the 2nd half (looks mad dodgy when he is coming to catch the ball though, nothing new there in terms of Bohs keepers  )
Bayly played well aswell, always up for it against Rovers it seems. Think he was our best player on the pitch and that says it all really.

We had a great laugh on the way home with all the Rovers lads running after the Luas and banging on the windows. VERY lucky the driver didn't open the door as they would of gotten some hiding.

Seen them all running that way the oldest must of been 12.Finn a differant class again, could of had 5 or 6 in the second half.Could see Bohs sneaking a goal on the break lucky it didnt happen.

Yeah most of them were kids, there was one lad (probably locked) egging them all on and he was in his 20s. Lucky none of our hard lads were at the game. Fagans chance was our only really proper chance of note after the goal, we were burnt out. Really happy with our performance though, the so called superstars never put in any sort of shift out in Tallaght.

I noticed our head of security and what I assume was the Rovers head of security arguing with the Guards, dunno what that was about.

Finn is a super player, how he is not abroad I don't know.

Rovers were pretty comfortable and played well switching the play against 10 men. O'Donnell who was otherwise excellent nearly paid for a lapse setting Fagan (?) in for the one-on-one. Rovers could've had 3 or 4, but the possession was good to see.

Frst half was very tight, Bohs started well, before Rovers came into it. Flood had Stevens in his pocket for the first 41 minutes, the first time he and McCabe combined the goal went in..not good to see Billy struggling to beat Killian Brennan playing as a left back and being on a yellow card....

I dunno what it is but I have always rated him, is he not playing well this season?

Easy enough win against poor mid table opposition. They only brought 450 fans, which is less than Pats and Dundalk bring. Thats where they are in the scheme of things.

On the pitch, could and should have been 6. Some poor finishing and jammy defending spared them. It took Al Mannus, Rovers keeper, 28 mins to touch the ball, and that was a back pass.

Other than the one on one, and he never looked like scoring, Rovers were never in danger.

He hasn't played well since a great run of form before the run-in last season imo. He has continued the bad falling away of the end of last season - he's a bit one dimensional, but when he came on, he got by a makeshift left back maybe once in three attempts from memory...

    MON rates him though.

Most Rovers fans don't. One trick pony, whose trick is working less and less often. Just doesn't seem to get the head up when it matters.

Good match but Fagan's miss was disappointing after all the hard work put in at the back.

Poor enough crowd in general, but understandable that parents don't bring kids to this fixture anymore when you see grown men try to break through a Garda cordon before the game to get at Bohs fans and a shower of Rovers imbeciles running after a Luas full of Bohs fans afterwards.

Far too much grief for people with young kids but fair play to the 600 who travelled to Wicklow.

If 600 travelled to Wicklow it might explain why only 450 of you were in Tallaght.

Don't patronise us that the reason your fans are staying away is because of some handbags at the game.

You need to be worrying about your closer rivals this season - UCD, Bray and the like.

Don't want to drag it on but have to say I was quite disappointed with the crowd from Bohs, no real excuses, ours was as expected.

Fair play to MO'N on dropping Murray, probably the biggest call I've seen him make since he's been here, delighted with the result but certainly not with the performance.

It was the right decision on the night: as was dropping Billy. Would have started with McCormack instead of Turner though.

Thought the second half performance was all that could be asked for. Moved the ball around, dominated and defended well. On another night, some of the other chances would have went in.

I think sitting on a goal suits MON far more than chasing one.. :)
