I want to gain a stone in a month.

I have been eating healthily for the last while but I want to gain weight quickly.

Basically I am looking for healthy foods that have a good amount of calories and are easy to prepare.

I don't eat enough quantity to gain much weight but for a month I plan to eat as much as is comfortable.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

4 litres of milk and 1kg of cashew nuts every day and you should do it.
best of luck being a tubster for the summer!

Is it one stone of muscle you are looking to put on???

If so (I'm sure you were going to say this when he replied anyway), it'll probably take at least 6 months.

I've read that the max you can usually hope to put on in muscle is about a pound every 2 weeks or about a kilo per month.

That means that if you put on a stone in a month, it'll be about 85% fat. Why not just go on a clean bulk - 500 calories over maintenance is the general recommendation.

I wouldnt mind a bit of fat that can be toned up over time. I can definately do with a bit of extra weight whether its fat or muscle. I will get my weight in the next week but it would be on the lower end of the recommendated weight for my 6"2 height.
Basically i dont want to do it wrong and have all the extra weight go to my stomach.

Milk works its called the GOMAD diet.

I'm doing it although i'm drinking 2 liters a day not 4. (get some flavoring for the milk)

Look at doing stronglifts program too.

I drink 2 litres of milk a day. 4 would be a stretch for a month but if that is the best option it will have to be done.

Work your b*llocks off in the gym...as heavy as you can go: low reps and more sets.
i wasn't joking about the cashews they are great for extra calories.loads of protein carbs and fat and are delish.try 100 grams a day....200 if you want to hold back on the milk.
see how ya go for a couple of weeks...if you feel like you're putting on too much weight then slightly decrease the food/milk.
if you are only starting out with resistance training you will make very noticeable gains in a short time(few months).
You say you don't mind gaining a bit of fat so you've no excuse.
Do it and post your results.

starting point: 200 grams cashews and 3 litres full fat milk...best part of 3,000 Calories....welcome to tubbytow......i mean muscletown...Boom!

I agree with boomtown on the nuts. They're really dense on calories, and enjoyable to eat. Make sure its not roasted or salted nuts though. Cashews are yum, and I also love brazil nuts.

Eggs, Burgers and noodles with milk, last meal of the day late-ish at night. Bit of ice-cream also while you're at it. And alot of it, like past the point where you forcefeed yourself. Not very healthy, but will put weight on you fast.

I want to keep it reasonably healthy so the big macs and ice cream in quantity would not the plan. That late night binging would all end up as stomach fat.

i will probably go to a nutritionist and get a personalised plan.

not so sure the nutritionist is going to say much more than - eat more clean foods and often.

Hope you are addressing your weights program also
