Looking to gain 1 stone in 1 month

    I want to gain a stone in a month.

    I have been eating healthily for the last while but I want to gain weight quickly.

    Basically I am looking for healthy foods that have a good amount of calories and are easy to prepare.

    I don't eat enough quantity to gain much weight but for a month I plan to eat as much as is comfortable.

    Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    4 litres of milk and 1kg of cashew nuts every day and you should do it.

    Im tall and very skinny as it is. I will also be doing a fair bit of resistance training.

    If so (I'm sure you were going to say this when he replied anyway), it'll probably take at least 6 months.

    I've read that the max you can usually hope to put on in muscle is about a pound every 2 weeks or about a kilo per month.

    That means that if you put on a stone in a month, it'll be about 85% fat. Why not just go on a clean bulk - 500 calories over maintenance is the general recommendation.

    I wouldnt mind a bit of fat that can be toned up over time. I can definately do with a bit of extra weight whether its fat or muscle. I will get my weight in the next week but it would be on the lower end of the recommendated weight for my 6"2 height.
    Basically i dont want to do it wrong and have all the extra weight go to my stomach.

    Milk works its called the GOMAD diet.

    I'm doing it although i'm drinking 2 liters a day not 4. (get some flavoring for the milk)

    Look at doing stronglifts program too.

    I drink 2 litres of milk a day. 4 would be a stretch for a month but if that is the best option it will have to be done.

    Work your b*llocks off in the gym...as heavy as you can go: low reps and more sets.
    i wasn't joking about the cashews they are great for extra calories.loads of protein carbs and fat and are delish.try 100 grams a day....200 if you want to hold back on the milk.
    see how ya go for a couple of weeks...if you feel like you're putting on too much weight then slightly decrease the food/milk.
    if you are only starting out with resistance training you will make very noticeable gains in a short time(few months).
    You say you don't mind gaining a bit of fat so you've no excuse.
    Do it and post your results.

    starting point: 200 grams cashews and 3 litres full fat milk...best part of 3,000 Calories....welcome to tubbytow......i mean muscletown...Boom!

    I agree with boomtown on the nuts. They're really dense on calories, and enjoyable to eat. Make sure its not roasted or salted nuts though. Cashews are yum, and I also love brazil nuts.

    Eggs, Burgers and noodles with milk, last meal of the day late-ish at night. Bit of ice-cream also while you're at it. And alot of it, like past the point where you forcefeed yourself. Not very healthy, but will put weight on you fast.

    I want to keep it reasonably healthy so the big macs and ice cream in quantity would not the plan. That late night binging would all end up as stomach fat.

    i will probably go to a nutritionist and get a personalised plan.

    not so sure the nutritionist is going to say much more than - eat more clean foods and often.

    Hope you are addressing your weights program also
