.... when you were 10 years old (or there abouts).

Our taste evolves over the years but can you remember the one car you wanted when you were around the 8-12 year old bracket?

I was 10 years old in 1985 and for me it was this:

It pretty much boiled down to KITT for me too, that and a Lamborghini Countach.

Yep! I suppose it's very age dependant too. Most lads who got in to classics have either something from their childhood TV programmes or something that their father / close relative had.

Mentioning the Countach I remember a popular wall poster from around the late '90's with a Countach, 959 and an F40 with 'Decisions' written under each car.

...oh or the car from Hardcastle and McCormick, i just remember thinking that was pretty much as cool as a car could get.

Have two friends who had Chargers and another two with Challengers.

Savage presence from the big Mopars but they handle like boats.

Opel Kadett GSI. When I was ten that's what I loved. I still do.

I had a Matchbox version. It was red and also, oh yeah, it said Vauxhall Astra GTE underneath. So, I was a ten year old, explaining to anyone that would listen, that it was really an Opel Kadett.

I was an odd, car loving child.

I went car shopping with my dad in 1987 to Ken Lawford motors, I sat in one of these and cried because he wouldn't buy it.



It didn't end up all bad though because we ended up driving a brand spanking new one of these home:cool:

i didn't know what kind of car i want no. i've a 01 seat leon was looking to upgrade cause had to put new engine in this one and was told its better get rid incase it cause more trouble, i dont know wat to do... i was think of up grading put just seen the my car now with a dent on front as if somewas standing on it, don't know what to do, i dont know if there is any point up grading living in city and this happens
