Personal Trainer needed

Is there any Personal Trainers out there that can deal with people that have had cardiac problems?

Basically, I'm 24, I'v had cardiac issues as a child, nothing major or anything. I'm trying to get myself a PT to get fit and in shape. Every PT I confront asks if I had any injuries/illness and I tell the truth, they run a mile, which I suppose I can kinda understand... But I'm getting sick of being rejected so I'm asking if there is any PT's here that are based in Dublin that could help me?

    thanks

    Dylan:)

I guess they are all afraid of the insurance premiums :(

Not sure how it works, but if someone ticks a yes in the "have you ever" boxes I bet the premiums get loaded. Any PTs on here able to answer that bit?

I wonder would a medical cert from a Doc stating you are in rude good health be of any assistance? Might be something you could take to a PT for them to bring to their Insurers?

    HTH!

    Thanks mate :)

There's no problem getting a letter from specialist/GP etc

I regularly go the gym, its not like I'm overweight and the gym/ general exercise is a new experience, I've always done a bit but recently I've wanted to get myself in decent shape. I know this will come with proper exercise and diet.

if anyone has any info regarding a PT that is willing to take on someone like me pls send me a pm

Hi Dylan, boards has a no advertising rule, which is why you won't see any trainers putting themselves forward. Where are you based and maybe others can point you in the right direction?

Good stuff, I think Pat Divily is out your way, be worth dropping him a mail or giving him a call anyhow.

You could try The Edge:Clontarf. My trainer Brendan works there and I find him very good.
    Hope that helps :)
