    Saturday 16th July
    Definitely can't make the 16th.

If it's on the 15th, I'll do my bestest to try make it. It all depends on how bopped out I am after Duran Duran the previous night.

If we go to Club Nassau then you could request more Duran Duran all night.

Club Nassau - Home of the slow set and 80's music all night.

    Hardcore!

But let's try get unity here, otherwise you'll end up with two half-assed parties rather than one EPIC PARTY worthy of your visit. I'm planning all sorts of Obama-esque security. :D

The security is to protect me, or to protect you from me? Also if I do both nights someone better bring one of these:

What happened to young people being all hardcore and partying several nights in a row while sustaining themselves on red bull and cold sausage rolls?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 9,821 ✭✭✭RxQueen

    we got old :(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,247 ✭✭✭Maguined

Pfffft no excuse, this year I went out 3 nights in a row, in fact the 3rd night was the last noc beers and I went into work the day before stinking of drink so you young kids got no excuse not to go to these beers.

It's not like things will get that lively at a Duran Duran concert anyway. :D

In my defence it is hard to think of someone as a grown up adult when you have seen a photo of them dressed as rainbow brite!

Though I was more of a strawberry shortcake man myself, even had bedsheets. :D

No euphemism at all, strawberry shortcake was an awesome cartoon from my childhood.

Jesus, man. That was a girl's cartoon. My sister liked it.
Did you enjoy Mrs. Pepperpot as well?

    For shame.

Don't get me wrong, when it comes to the food side of things I'm there.
    But that show was dire.

When M.A.S.K. et al where on the cards I wouldn't be wasting my time with Ms. Shortcake. On a side note, the doll of her smelled like strawberries and even that didn't make the show any way redeemable.

I still love and accept you Mags.

Whatever you do, do NOT go back and check out Mask. Tis AWFUL.

This is a really busy weekend but I shall try and at least show up for both nights. Tis My loyal Captain, after all!

I'm afraid I have made this mistake already.
Besides the theme tune everything sounds off.

Plus those little ending dealies are embarassing.

At the time it was great though.

For the record it was, "Yoooooooo Joe!", not "Go Joe!".

It wasn't even Yo Joe here to be fair.

In Europe, G.I Joe was Action force- the greatest heroes of them all, and insteat of being inspired by the mythical original joe, they were a spin off of Action Man (who may have been the same thing as Joe- My toy fu is weak pre 80's).

It's weird that in the 90's action man then became it's own, totally seperate, huge toy franchise anew.

Yup, guy by the name of Chris Latta. Sadly passed away. I remember my jaw dropping when seeing this episode as a child! There's another episode where possibly maybe Jem and the Holograms are in a college, and the character Melissa Faireborne from series 3 of transformers is supposed to be I think Flint and Lady Jayes daughter.

Being hugely inept and treacherous and constantly trying to do away with megs and serpentor, Latta always got the fun weirdly likable characters :)
