Potential Acl rupture/tear

Hey everyone just looking for people who might have experienced this and their thoughts. Im not looking for advice as Ive had an mri, been to the physio etc.

Anyways I injured my knee around a month and a half ago during pre season where I felt my standing left knee get nudged inwards as I passing the ball off with my right. Heard a small click and felt unbelievable pain for a minute or so then hobbled off. Couldnt bend the knee properly for a week or so but their was no swelling or bruising.

Had been going to the physio for a month where he diagnosed it as a grade 1 sprain on each side, told to go back training and around 5 minutes into a training match felt a slight crunch in the knee and a bit of throbbing with little to no swelling.

Organised an MRI which I had last tuesday and wont know the results untill next week, physio had a look at the scans on a cd i was given and said hes not sure. Mentioned one of the scans does look like I have ruptured my ACL but he said hes puzzled as I pass the physical tests everytime.

To be honest my knee isnt even that sore and bar the first few weeks where now and again it felt like the knee was going to bend to far backwards where that feeling has pretty much gone now it feels ok.

The only pain I get in the knee is when I pull my ankle as if im stretching my quad or when i go down on my hunkers I get a sharpish pain which lasts for a few seconds however when I do the towel under the knee thing and pull it towards 20 or so times and do it again I experience no pain. Main area where its sore is the outside corner of the knee where that (i think) hamstring tendon is (it feels like a ball you can flick back and over) and even lower down again from that.

Going to be gutted if I have torn my acl as it means surgey and 6 months out. So just wondering has anyone else experienced this and what are their thoughts on the whole thing?
