Probably done before here but the age old question love or money? For me only at the ripe old age of near 21 Id have the love of a girl any day over money.I just feel for all the money in the world it still cant possibly make you as happy and content as the feeling of love.Maybe people here on boards with a few more years on me can argue a case?Lets be having you!:)

Added poll there also should be interesting.

I'd rather be alone with a roof over my head and no money worries :pac: Love doesn't pay the rent. Well it does but that's another AH thread.

I would have said love but it seems any guy im interested in, is always unrequited love, so screw that. Money will buy you things to keep you happy.

A rich man with money will do me fine though.

    Love, thankfully I love money.

Money tbh. I've gotten used to the thought of ending up alone and I have absolutely no desire to ever start a family. So I'd take having no money troubles ahead of having no romance.

Though I do hope I'll have both at some point....

I read after I left my wealthy xh that "if you marry for money you'll earn every penny". I didn't marry him 'for money' exactly, it wasn't that simple as when we met I had my own good job.

But, money is power in a marriage, and if you marry a man who doesn't love you for YOU, doesn't value you for YOU, then you're up the creak when things go wrong and you were the one who brought no airgead to the table.

So you young people who have it all ahead of you, marry for personality, compatability, shared values and love.

Eh yea it pretty much can. Well if you're stinking rich you'll never be alone, loneliness is up to the individual after that. I'd defo go for money.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

I think when he say's loneliness he's refering to love not company. For all the money in the world may get you more "friends" it wont buy you love.

What is money but crafted metals. Do we raise this above the needs of the heart, of our inner most being? Does cornucopia truly relinquish our desire for beauty, for passion, for love? What am I, if I have all of this crafted metal, the money which we seek in our daily lives, if beneath it all I am a lonely man, a man without love, a man who does not know the joy and beauty of inner tranquillity, released only from its confines by the hand of love.

Love - no doubt about it. Although Maslow's Heirarchy of Needs would argue otherwise.

I think those who choose love (myself included) have never gone hungry.

Does money define its holder, is its holder just that, its holder, or has the money gone not only to his head, but stolen his heart as well? Does the money belong to him, does he control it? Or has the money gotten to the stage where it is controlling him?

The tycoon who dwells alone in his palatial confines, amidst his worldly possessions and wealth, and yet with no hand to hold, no forehead to kiss before going to sleep, he is not alone? A company may grant him money, but the company's reward cannot buy the true form of company, the beauty of love, the eternal happiness, the knowledge that we have gained something in life, that of love.

Love is reality, money is a construct.

Money enslaves, it tricks us into believing that happiness can be brought about by the transaction between customer and the receiver receiving this customer’s money. Money is earned, and yet when spent, is gone. Love is earned, but when earned remains earned for the space of eternity.

Well isn't the tycoon lucky to dwell in a palatial confine and have worldly possessions and wealth. What of the unwritten many who wander alone, but with no wealth to hold their hand and comfort them through their solitude.

Well depending on are we talking extremes or not.

Being with someone who's rich but you despise

    or

Being with someone you are crazy about but are homeless

I'd rather have love and have enough money , but not lots , rather than the opposite.

But that's just my feminine side speaking....

I have been as rich as Crassus and as broke as Ireland, there wasn't as much difference between the two as I'd imagined.
I have loved and been loved so much I couldn't breath. I have been so lonely and lost that I didn't want to breath. There is the depth and breath of your soul in the difference.

If you have no love, you have nothing.
