    Hi all,

I think us posters need to give a big shout out and thanks to the regulars that post here.... Guys I won't name ye for fear of leaving someone out but ye know who ye are!

The advice given here daily is priceless. I was clueless about nutrition. I was reared on spuds and bread( dry bread cos butter was 'fattening!!!) Anyway in my twenties when I left home I spiralled into a continuous cycle of yo yo dieting and sugar binges!

It's only since christmas of this year, when I discovered boards nutrition forum and I started Reading and posting a little that I began to change. I now eat clean and am back exercising and I feel that all my food demons have been lifted.

That's due to the regulars who take the time and effort to post here... Thanks!! I couldn't afford to go to a dietician( mightn't be the greatest advice either!) but the help I receive here daily, just by Reading the threads alon
e, motivates me and teaches me even more.

So it's not said enough... Thanks regs for your time, patience and effort!

Agreed, I first started reading here a few years ago, but I owe my health to them.

Me too. Posters who made the biggest single difference to me were El D and Sapsarrow. I was fat-phobic for a fair while and on an unsustainable weight loss plan before they shocked me into reality!

Thanks from me as well, I was completely clueless about Nutrition and I am amazed at the knowledge of some people around here.

By the way...where is Saspsorrow? not posting in the blog either?

Big thanks from me too, just as OP its thanks to reading the threads here that I have begun eat clean and exercising properly.
I have found a sustainable way to eat and am beginning to evaluate food rather than mindless eating.
I have a long road ahead of me but it would be much harder without everyone on here.

Aw jeez Khannie, make a girl blush..:o

I know that when I took a break from this forum my diet went to hell in a hand basket, I work full time in a rather demanding job and was trying to pump out a masters by night. Cooking went out the window and even when the major pressure was off I found it so hard to get back on track.

Couple of weeks back on this forum and I find it so much easier to eat healthily. I'm just not tempted anymore..I know correlation does not equal causation but I think ye guys have something to do with it :)

Just reading everyone else's posts makes me want to make the extra effort. I get ideas and motivation every day. I never realised what a difference that made until I didn't have it.

I also want to thank everyone that argued with me over the years. God, when I look back on those early debates I cringe! I have learnt something with each and every one and I hope I didn't annoy ye too much in the process by dragging things wildly off topic.

Anyway, thanks everyone for making this the best forum on boards

(I have sapsorrow's email so I'll get in touch.)

Hey guys! Sorry for the lack of input lately, just had a mental year and internetting has had to take a back seat! To cut it short, The boyfriend got pneumonia and was very poorly for two months and out of work as a result, I got let go from my job and our flat got broken into and all our electronic gadgets got taken, (B*astards ) including the camera, hence the lack of internetting and blogging (I'm in an internet cafe at the minute)! Sounds really bad but all's good now really, should be starting a new job next week so I can start saving for a new camera and laptop then and hopefully I'll be back in action soon :) Glad to hear the forum has been of such use to people. Hope ye're all happy and healthy xx

Another +1. Of course I would have to add so many others but as well as the above, also special mention to EileenG.

    Great forum altogether

Eileen G - the mother, weight lifter, writer, and sage nutrition and diet contributor. Who wouldn't have her?
