    This link should help.

    Nutritional and health benefits

Rooibos is becoming more popular in Western countries, particularly among health-conscious consumers, due to its high level of antioxidants such as aspalathin[3] and nothofagin, its lack of caffeine, and its low tannin levels compared to fully oxidized black tea or unoxidized green tea leaves.[4] Rooibos also contains a number of phenolic compounds, including flavanols, flavones, flavanones, and dihydrochalcones.[5]
Rooibos is purported to assist with nervous tension, allergies and digestive problems.[6]
Traditional medicinal uses of rooibos in South Africa include alleviating infantile colic, allergies, asthma and dermatological problems.[7][8

Definitely try it. I was trying to cut down on my sugar, usually had 2 tsps in my tea (Barry's). Rooibos is like Barry's, but with a sort of sweet, slightly more fragrant taste. It's really lovely, and you can pop a bit of milk in it (less than normal) just like your regular Barry's. It's a great way to cut some caffeine and sugar from your diet if you're prone to adding sugar, plus if you drink as much tea/coffee as me, the decrease in milk adds up and saves a good few calories.

Can't be any harm in trying it, as it's healthier than Barry's in any case :)

it's supposed to be quite good for acne as well, if you leave a bit of it to cool down and then rub it in to the affected areas, but as with all these kind of health conscious new agey type things if you posted online that it cured aids, people would believe it.

it tastes lovely and it's not bad for you.. I used to be a 4-5 cup of sugar in a cup of tea man, but these days I just have a cup of rooibos, havent had sugar or milk in the apartment in a few weeks. Aside from the occasional desire for a bowl of custard, I dont miss them.

Onlu tasted Rooibos last week from a tea samples handed out in Donnybrook Fair. I bought some and have been loving it ever since.
Clement & Pekoe is the brand, they are Irish. I bought the Rooibos and Green Tea. Only learnt then that Green Tea should be not be made with boiling water and it tastes so much nicer than how I was doing it before. Also, this is loose stuff and I think much much nicer than the teabags
