This thread is for posting any job vacancies that are available in your organisation.

Before posting, please remember the following:
    • This is not for agencies or organisations - just for established boards.ie users. Do not sign up just to post a vacancy here.
    • Please post as much detail as possible, including:
      • job title
      • location
      • permanent/contract
      • full time/part time
      • basic description
      • desired qualifications/experience & remuneration package (if known)
      • A link to a job spec instead is fine, but please at least include a job title and location in the post.
      • contact details
    • If you'd rather give this info by PM, then please at least post some basic details on the thread.
    • Agencies are not to contact anyone who posts a job
    • This is for employment, not once-off jobs - use adverts.ie for service wanted/offered
    • It would be handy if you could PM a forum mod if the job has been filled, so the post can be updated.

No chat please - PM the poster for more details on a job spec.

Please report any posts that aren't suitable. This isn't the place to debate salaries / commission only jobs etc; too much chat will make the thread hard to follow.

    Hi guys,

I need to give up my job for the month of august for exams so Im looking for a replacement. There is plenty of study time in this job so it is perfect for a student! Or you can just bring a laptop in with you and use it or whatever.

    Requirements:

    Be RELIABLE
    Be RELIABLE
Live in or nearish to Dublin City Centre
    Have own car

    Details:

The job is delivering for a restaurant in Dublin City center. You will be delivering to Dublin 2, 4, 6, 8, 1 and some other places. Nowhere too far.

Your days will be Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and every second Friday.

    The hours are 5-10pm.

The pay is 25 euro flat rate per night and you get 2 or 2.50 for every delivery. The max deliveries ive ever done in 1 night is 8. So if you have a quiet night, you get less money but more study time. A busy night is more money but less study time! Its ridiculously easy work.

Basically on a 3 day week you'll come out with about 100, the 4 day weeks about 130.

I know the money is pretty crap but if you are going to be sitting at home studying all night like I would have been, you might as well be sitting in here earning some money and studying!

So if anybody fancies covering me for the month just drop me a PM, then if I ever need any other days or the other guy does we could give you a shout again! Its very very handy work, you are left alone to study until there is a delivery!

Drop me a PM if interested but no timewasters please guys!
    Cheers!

TECHNICAL LEAD ARCHITECT / PROJECT MANAGER

    About the Job
Initially, this is a Temporary 2 months full time (or 4 month part time) multi-project position, with the potential to become full time permanent, in an exciting new digital audio/video Research and Development Company. This is a key role where you will be the technical lead for design and implementation of software solutions.

Candidates must be able to translate business requirements into compliant project solutions. Ability to ‘take charge’ is a requirement. You should have a working knowledge of the development of enterprise solutions along with project planning and management skills. Excellent programming skills with knowledge of Java and C/C++ are essential. Although not a requirement, any experience using MATLAB or similar would be a bonus as would any signal processing experience or any exposure to Cryptography.

    General description of the role:
o Translate business requirements into system, scope, solution and architecture definition, ensuring compliance with appropriate best-practices, standards and strategy
o Liaise with various non-technical stakeholders and participate in solution delivery and related sign-offs.
o Provide hands-on technical expertise and knowledge to projects when defining architecture and solutions
o Guide the technical decision-making process by evaluating opinions, objections and implications
o Take ownership of product development and producing beta/demonstration software while ensuring architecture is appropriate, robust and scalable.
o Coordinate and liaise with technical/business teams as required
o Act as a contact point for resolution of complex technical issues

    Person Requirements:
o Ideally you will have 5+years’ experience in a technical role within the IT industry with experience of designing and implementing industry-informed solutions along with good project management skills.
o Imagination and creativity are important characteristics of the right candidate, as is the ability to allocate tasks/resources effectively.
o Although the project is not ‘high speed, high pressure’, it does involve multiple simultaneous sub-developments so candidates should have the ability to juggle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
o Good knowledge of best practice and technical architecture concepts combined with drive and a passion for delivering what the end-user wants.
o Excellent understanding of Java and C/C++ and the ability to develop complex solutions in either language. Although not essential, any experience of development for iOS platform(s) would be a bonus
o High level experience of the complete software engineering cycle from problem/solution overview through use case analysis to (beta) product design
o Have ‘hands on’ experience of delivering projects through to deployment.
o Ability and personality to act as the design and technical lead for projects
o Motivated, enthusiastic individual with the ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team
o Excellent documentation, presentation, communication and interpersonal skills.

    Remuneration:
Salary is in the range of €50,000 - €60,000 (for two months initially, pro rata) depending on experience, skills and responsibilities. The position can be initially on a contract/consultancy (non-employee) basis. Prospects exist for future involvement in the Company after the initial phase (dependent on satisfactory deployment)

      • full time/part time

    • If you'd rather give this info by PM, then please at least post some basic details on the thread.
    • Agencies are not to contact anyone who posts a job
