Sprints/Car pushing for conditioning & hypertrophy?

Im knocking around ideas for getting in better shape and helping to lower bodyfat ideally not at the expense of strength.
Im wondering has anyone any experience of doing car pushing and sprints/hill sprints alongside a weights programme?
Im doing 5/3/1 and Im thinking of maybe doing just the main lift on deadlift or squat day before going out and doing for example car pushes or would I lose mass on my legs?
This whole conditioning thing is new to me as Ive always had football or MMA to keep me in shape in the past

I did have to push start a car uphill once for about 40 yards..that wasn't fun:D.Re programming hill sprints into 5/3/1 Jim Wendler wrote lots on that in his blood and chalk series for T nation.Hope thats of some help.

There's a massive body of work on hill sprints and 5/3/1.

DeFranco likes to use the prowler and sleds (essentially the same as a car) to add volume to his athletes leg workouts on 'off' days to drive hypertrophy.

Because there's no eccentric component to car pushing/prowling, DOMS will be minimal so you should be recovering fairly quickly and making gains elsewhere assuming kcals are high enough.
