    Congratulations.

You sound like Eamon Dunphy. And Dunphy said at the start of the season that this United team would never win another trophy.

I'm delighted that he - and all the others who wrote United off as a team in decline - were proven to have been talking complete bollox.

    United deserved champions.

And The Reds go marching on, on, on.

This day has been a long time coming. I have often wondered if Fergie really believed he could fulfill his ambition.

    What a manager.

Wooohoooo!!!!. Champions again. Feels so so so good. Special thanks to Valencia, Giggs, Park, Nani, Berbatov, VDS, Hernandez, Vidic, Rio and Rooney.
Shouldn't single out players at all in a great team like this but they really are a special bunch. Along with the twins aswell they are the future.

VDS, thanks for the memories man.

Brilliant from Ferguson. Overturning Liverpool's haul and the most FA Cup wins too. Top of the tree. His crowning achievement.
And although underdogs and up against a brilliant team in the European Cup Final, could be about to bring United to his third and their fourth trophy. And at a time when the European Cup is at its toughest to come out on top. Phenomenal.

    Fair fecking play to United.

Ferguson will have to go down as the best manager we've seen.

Thats coming from an Arsenal fan

It is in its hole. You only played Chelsea on the way to the final. No other decent teams. Its easy to win if anything now.

Ah yeah. Champions League - easier to win than the Carling Cup.

Cripes man, get over it & give them some credit.

More games. More top teams from each country. Football being more of a global game than in the past (remember anyone from Mexico or Mali playing in European Cup Finals in the 1970s). Tougher to win. Very simple concept.

I already did. Congrats, the greatest achievement in English football.

I was just pointing out its been an easy route to the final.

Tough seeing that as a Liverpool fan. Nice all the same to see a great footballing man like Fergie make history he deserves, Ryan Giggs the same, what a man Giggsy is, humble as they come.

Lets hope Liverpool can now go on and mount a serious challenge to Utd in the coming years.

Delighted that United have won, but probably the least impressive of their titles - they just slipped up the least of the title contenders, and with a possible maximum of 80 points I can't be over the moon! >_< However, the argument could be given that this was the most competitive league in a while, from top to bottom, and it does make things more exciting.

19 titles and a Champions League final to come. I can live with that. ;)

Yeah it's so easy to win  If it were so easy teams would retain it, particularly when the likes of the great Barcelona team are around. Take the bitter lemon out of your mouth for a second. It is easier to qualify for the Champions League now, but infinitely more difficult once you are in the actual tournament. The past 20 years have enough examples of the difficulties teams have winning it. Ask Chelsea and the hundreds and hundreds of millions they have spent trying to win it.

Anyway OT, United deserve a lot of praise for winning the league this season. A real victory for team building.

In which ways? Granted, their home form was pretty amazing, but their away form was shocking. I guess it's impressive to win the title having been so woeful away, if that counts!

I think the 90s and early 2000s was one of the toughest times to win a CL.
Lots of excellent teams won less in that period than they should have - Juventus and Man Utd are two that spring to mind immediately. Bayern as well. A very good Valencia also fell just short.

I'd probably agree with that. There aren't that many great teams around at the minute aside from United and Barca. Which is what I referred to earlier. Which you laughed at.

I think it's more impressive because theres no doubt the opposition has improved immensly, Even outside the big spenders most teams can give t you a difficult game.

I did read it, there is no need for discrediting what I said by that method. I think that saying
It is in its hole. You only played Chelsea on the way to the final. No other decent teams. Its easy to win if anything now
is ridiculous, particularly the part in bold. Hence my reply. To bring up such topics in a thread about United winning the league could easily be construed as having elements of bitterness. Hence my other reply.

Anyway, this has nothing to do with the league.
