    Saturday 14th May

    KO 12:45 BST

Live on Sky Sports and other fine Foreign channels :)

A long time since I did a match day thread but I had to do it for this match, could be one of the most significant days in man utd's history. I cant wait :)

    Possible starting XIs:

Blackburn: Robinson, Emerton, Samba, Givet, Olsson, Diouf, J Jones, N'Zonzi, P Jones, Hoilett, Roberts.

Man Utd: Kuszczak, Rafael, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra, Park, Valencia, Carrick, Giggs, Rooney, Hernandez.

    Man United will walk this.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,600 ✭✭✭jaykay74

I hope to see that starting 11 for Utd, no messing. 2 early goals and the party can start. Haven't seen much of Rovers recently put apparently they struggle with pace so Hernandez and Valencia are vital. The leagues top scorer and the leagues player with most assists can come on later and play next weekend.

This is on early isn't it ?

Never mind 12.45 in the op it says

Im going to say 3-1 to Man United

My mate is Blackburn fan so wont hear the end of it if they beat us but I hope they stay up.

I fancy this as starting lineup

    PIG
    o Shea Rio Vidic Evra
    Valencia Carrick Anderson Nani
    Chico Rooney(just ahead of Berba)

Yeah I thinks its because the FA are holding a match at Wembley later in the day. Not sure of the details.

I want to see Nani start this one, and maybe give Toni a little rest, starting to get worried that Nani will leave if he doesn't get more game time before end of season.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,150 ✭✭✭✭LuckyGent88

Hope Rooney and Valencia get a rest for Berba and Nani. Berba so he gets top scorer and Nani needs game time just for confidence anyway.

    United 2 nil

Banker home win....maybe not. A draw..... nah. Away win..... probably.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 215 ✭✭Woody_FX

Utd gonna stomp all over Rovers.

I've had nothing against Rovers before, but since the Venkies and then Kean arrived as manager I've really taken a dislike to them. Hope they go down this season and get rid of that crowd.

Exams on a Saturday should be outlawed.

Skip it and claim extenuating circumstances.

I've an Irish exam at 09:00, but I'll be home in time for kick-off. :)
That said, I would love to lie-in and wake up fresh for the game!

That's not too bad. I'll be up till 3 or 4 playing championship manager and on this and then lie in till 12:D

He's doubtful, I'd be surprised if he was risked. O'Shea is doubtful also.

It wouldn't surprise me to see Fabio at LB and Rafael at RB. Although Evans may come in at LB like he did against Chelsea.

    United to hammer them.

    3/4-0

    Johnstone's Paint Trophy I think...:p

Think we'll do it handy enough tomorrow. Hope to see Fletcher back tomorrow. Gonna be tough to get him match sharp for Barca.

I hope Berbatov and Nani get the nod to start myself. They deserve to be on the pitch for the win, should we win.

Doubt giggs, evra o'shea or VDS will feature 'till barcelona game. We have a strrong enough squad to wrap this up without them, Doubt we will b at full strength 2moro. Maybe Kuzchek, Fabio, Vidic, Smalling, Evans, valencia, carrick, anderson, nani, berba, rooney. No need to risk rio

In Thailand on my honeymoon so just waiting for 6.45 pm local time, perfect time to go to pub and watch it.

Been as good as gold since last Sunday, so just have to break it gently to the wife now we are leaving our lovely resort to go into town and sit in a pub for the night :)

Am not a total bloke, I'll buy her those drinks with mini umbrellas she loves so much

On the Dundalk bus to the airport at the moment, can't wait till the game, hopefully the atmosphere is as good as last year. Come on United!

    United 2 nil

Valencia needs another appearance to qualify for a league medal , I'd say he'll play some part.

Today could be the day. Blackburn always give us a tough game at their place but fingers crossed we'll get the points to secure no 19.

If that happens it's major party time.

Surely you must mean Football Manager? Its the real Champo of old, just name changed, same company making it.

Really, what did Berba do to deserve this?

And Rafael, he must still be carrying a slight injury or something...

Surprised at the team, Fergie taking no chances for once. I like it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,617 ✭✭✭✭PHB

Seems like Fergie wants this over, right now. While I'd prefer a nice easy victory, there's a part of me that really wants Berbatov to come on to get the winner.

I don't think so, I think Fabio has just overtaken him.

    Technically 2 wrong(Fabio for Rafael);):pac:

    Subs

Amos, Evra, Owen, Anderson, Berbatov, Smalling, Scholes.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,342 ✭✭✭✭That_Guy

Very strong line up from Man United. Should have this in the bag I'd say.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,398 ✭✭✭MIN2511

That's a very strong team Fergie has there....

I expected Berba and Owen to start :(

Yeah, but still a very surprising team. I thought Giggs would be on the bench. I thought Hernandez would too.
I just pray for no injuries over anything else today tbh.

Very strong team for Utd, considering their away form though I doubt Ferguson wanted to take any chances, I'll go for a Utd win but only by a single goal.
