I'm almost certain this Rachel Bilson dramedy will get picked up by CW, it appears to be an old skool WB show in the vein of Everwood meets Doc Hollywood.

But....will it suffer the same fate as Life Unexpected? :(, Bilson is a huge draw...i just watched her in the movie Waiting For Forever an she is just adorable, she looks amazing on camera. We'll know in the next few days but it appears of of today HOD and Secret Circle are still frontrunners for pickup.

I like everyone else in the cast but her. The girl cannot act.

Good news as i dislike Nancy Travis:

Nancy Travis scored a double at the upfronts this week as both pilots she appeared in, the ABC comedy Last Man Standing the the CW light drama Hart of Dixie, were picked up to series. She was the female lead opposite Tim Allen in Last Man Standing and was a guest star/recurring in CW's Hart of Dixie but was prominently featured in the clip for the medical drama screened at the CW's upfront presentation. While regulars on series often recur on other shows, I hear that Last Man Standing producer 20th Century Fox TV wouldn't allow Travis to recur on Dixie and her role will now be recast.

It smells of Everwood to me but I do like Rachel Bilson so I'm probably going to give it a shot. I'm not keen on the supporting cast to be honest, never liked Scott Porter on FNL but we'll see. If nothing else it's shot in a beautiful location so it should be pretty to look at.

I liked him in The Good Wife

Bilson looks too young to play a Doctor

Saw another clip....Rachel Bilson is practically playing a grown up Summer. I'm sorry to say this(apologies RB fans) but she has no range as an actress. She plays the same character in everything I've seen her in, The OC, Chuck, The Last Kiss, Jumper & HIMYM.

Very true, she's cute as hell...but i like all her Summer Roberts roles...the girl has buckets of charisma [albeit very one note].

Just seen the pilot there...liked it alot, it was exactly what i expected...tons of charm, Rachel Bilson has buckets of charisma and looks stunning, they really shot her beautifully, which is not hard as she is just beautiful.

This is Rachel-by-the-numbers, she's not the greatest actress, but she gives her best and she emots her face during scenes extremely well, what can i say?...i heart Ms. Bilson, i'd watch her for hours...in anything :-)

HOD is nothing new, it's Everwood meets Doc Hollywood, all these small town southern characters, aligators on the road, southern belle's, love triangle, medical drama of the week etc.

It's nothing new or unique but it does have that old skool WB vibe to it, i liked it alot...Bilson sells it, i can't say anything too negative about it because by default it has all the elements that appeal to me, like alot of CW shows they program to my tastes.

You've got a couple of hot guys vieing her Zoe hart's attention, one of whom is engaged to Lemmon, yeah...a girl is called Lemon, and then you've got these groups of bitchy southern gals tryna take of the new doc.

I'm sure each week we'll have doc Hart meeting quirky characters, love triangle, the culture shock and fish outta water story. It's everything you expect it to be and for that alone it delivers.

    3.5/5

Best line "i just played dixie with my butt" :-)

Really enjoying this. Haven't seen the latest episode but it's very watchable. Rachel Bilson's charisma definitely carries the show but I'm looking forward to seeing more about the relationship between the Mayor and the blonde girl that I think is called Lemon.

I do indeed watch the Lying Game Richard.

Solid episode this week. I'm really enjoying the interactions in the mayors house. I think the three of them have great chemistry and those scenes were the strongest in this episode. I liked the ending and am looking forward to seeing Lemon's and the Mayor's relationship come out.

I just caught up on this over the weekend.

There was a few iffy bits in the pilot but the sorted them out pretty quickly (getting rid of the voice over was a must). It's kind of like old fashioned WB shows that used to be on, I like it. It's not exactly taxing on your brain but that's why I like it. The characters are all likable and the storylines are just the right mix of drama and comedy.

The one issue I have with it is that after the pilot they relocated to LA to shoot it. The scenery in the pilot was lovely and having them in Stars Hollow from episode 2 on wards kind of disappoints. Also the bar the use is the same exterior as they use as Merlotts in True Blood, so it kind of takes me out of the episode every time I recognise something else.

That said it might be the one show I look forward to watching this week, which surprises me :)

I've had huge issues with this as well!...sick to DEATH of the WB Stars Hollow set being used in everything.

Last nights episode was a bit of a mixed bag. Loved the Wade/George/Lemon stuff. Lemon was even likable during it, I'd like to see more of her and Wade interacting, not in a romantic way, although their couple name would be Lemonade!!!

The Zoe stuff was a bit dull but I guess necessary to show that she's changed since she arrived and that Bluebell isn't such a bad place after all.

Rachel Bilson's new show Hart of Dixie is to air on Really in the UK.
The CW drama stars the former O.C. actress as Zoe Hart, a New York doctor who struggles to adapt to life in the Southern town of Bluebell.
UKTV recently bought the exclusive rights to the show, in a deal that also includes new JJ Abrams drama Alcatraz.
"Alcatraz is the best drama from the winning team behind Lost and together with Hart of Dixie, UKTV has secured the brightest series from the US this year," said Catherine Mackin, UKTV's Director of Programme Acquisitions.
Both shows are expected to premiere in the UK in early 2012, with Alcatraz airing on Watch.
Last month, Hart of Dixie received a full season order from The CW.
The show airs on Mondays at 9/8c in the US.

I was just wondering the other day which channel it would be suited for. I thought maybe e4.
It doesn't say much for the show that it's ended up on Really.

I see it's back this week so the cousins will be sending it to me. I thought last week's ep was the finalé. I should hate the show by now but I don't really. It's a light bit of fluff. Nothing spectacular but harmless enough all the same.

Finally got round to finish watching the entire first season recently I have to say I have changed my opinion of Bilson she is great at Zoe actually there is a great chemistry between all the cast lead and supporting but I have to say the guy plays Wade and Bilson sizzle in their scenes so I am totally shipping Zoe and Wade :p

Glad it got a renewal roll on Season 2 now

    http://tvline.com/2012/08/29/hart-of-dixie-kelen-coleman-season-2/

Kelen Coleman has booked a recurring role in Hart of Dixie‘s upcoming second season.
She joins the CW charmer as Presley, a pretty but tomboyish beer distributor who, while at the Rammer Jammer, catches the eye of the newly single George.
Mircea Monroe will also put a kink in Zoe’s Season 2 love life, reprising her role as Wade’s still-adoring ex-wife Tancy.

Loving this at the minute!! Latest episode was hilarious!

Yeah I've to admit I'm really enjoying it at the minute. I thought I'd have a moment of revelation with season 2 where I'd go 'Oh just realised this show isn't all that, what was I thinking watching Season 1' but it's actually better than Season 1 at the moment. It's really a light-hearted bit of fun and I end up laughing at it which I don't do with some sitcoms so that's a good thing. It doesn't hurt that Rachel Bilson is cute as hell though as well. If anything she's even cuter this season!

    Zoe and Wade swoon!! :)

I like her to go out with George he so smitten but is he genuine though about his feelings but he really does need to date other women before embarking on a relationship with zoe but be interesting how it all unfold. Zoe is suited to both wade and george in different ways. She gets on very well and has a lot in common with george that's why they work but maybe only as friends for now??Herself and wade be based on their chemistry but is there enough substance there between them as they total opposites but then again opposites attracts and never be boring between them but are they right for each other and which of them will make her happy though but then again she doesn't know herself and hasn't really decided fully.

She pick george in a minute but due to a long relationship with lemon he needs to see other people and would be a disaster if they were to ever get together now she just be his rebound girl even if they have strong feelings for each other which I don't think will ever go away. They will get together eventually and see how things go. She is just seeing how things go with wade casually before how things go with george at least she have something to compare to if she got with george. She get with him eventually but we see how it go when it happens she will eventually end up with one of them long term but which one is the question!? Hard to tell.

I am a neutral on this could go either way, prefer her to be with george but like that she and wade get together. Always thought they would eventually and she's give in to her flight of fancy! Wade has feelings for her but are they strong enough to have a relationship? George is a relationship guy, wade is not! But he and zoe are so smokey! Zoe and wade....woooo!! They are so meant to be for now as in right now but later on her and george should be together I think. The chemistry between zoe and wade is electrofiying! ahhh! Its fun and sweet to watch though!

I've only seen clips of series 2 so happy to wait till its back with series 2 on TV3 when ever that will be!? Can't wait! Really missing it now, loved series one and looking forward to series two when it on tv3, I get so much online but not the same!
