    Hey folks,

The boards Developers are working really hard this year to improve the m.boards site to make browsing forums a more enjoyable experience when you're on your phone. As part of that we will need to reduce sticky numbers in each forum as a ream of little yellow threads at the top of each page is mroe han a little off-putting. So the suggestion has come in that we have no more than three stickies, with one of them obviously being the Charter.

So, how do we re-organise the stickies? What stays and what goes?

One solution is to simply have a "Find all threads here" sticky Post that links to all the other threads which will automatically get bumped any time it's posted in.

    Any ideas from the floor?

There's an Important threads and Useful Information Sticky over in Shooting, something like that?
It contains most the stuff that would usually be Stickied all by itself, plus a bunch of threads containing generally useful information.
The only other Stickys are the Charter and a couple of important threads on legislation and contempt of court.

It appears to work quite well at keeping the top of the forum tidy and under control.

    1. Charter
    2. Nutrition 101
    3. The WW thread, as much as it pains me to say it. Basically just because of the amount of hits it gets, not for the actual content.

The healthy soup and stew thread is a bit neglected looking.

Other than that I like the important threads thread to clear up the clutter.

+1 on the important threads sticky - that wat when something is worth been stickied it can be fired under that threaded sticky.

The constant use will probably stop it from falling off the first page though. People who use it just need to subscribe to the thread and they'll never lose it.

    I'd be thinking more like:

    1. Charter
    2. Nutrition 101
    3. Important/ Useful threads

Also if anyone is up for the task of re-vamping the Nutrition 101 thread that would be awesome - some of the info is kind of out-of-date now...

I'd love to, but would totally be up for a collaborative effort.

How about a first draft and then we submit for feedback? The basics are well-explained and all there.

That makes sense, there used to be a "how many points" thread which was merged, now any stray WW threads can be merged with the active one. The off-topic could be unstickied I suppose, it is not too active but those who usually use it know how to find it.

Dragans helping hand thread could be merged with the 101 thread.

The standby supper thread could be a generic "recipes thread", this might also be unstickied and just bumped up. There have been a few attempts to start recipie threads in the past, these old ones could be merged in and that way it could grow and gain momentum and be regularly bumped.
