I signed up to a 12 week motivation personnal training programme, and had my first session on Monday. Now keep in mind I am over weight and havn't been in a Gym in 3 years, the sessions last 45 mins. it was broken down as follows 8 mins walking on a threadmill 30mins upper body weights 7 mins cross trainer, during the weights I said to the P/T the I was starting to hurt and she said this is normal, after a few reps I told her it was painful, again she said I was fine, it was normal, I really felt like i couldn't take more, she repiles I'll know by your shoulders when you have enough, aparently my shoulders would start to raise and she would know when I to stop me. I left and my body was shaking and I vomited.... is this normal?? I ended up in Southdoc who sent me to A&E, they dos said I was pushed to much and over worked my shoulder, and I may have frozen shoulder which can take up to 2 years to heal. I currently can't work and have to have physio n the gym have a very flippant attitude.
What do people think I should do?
