We had that the other day in cork. Some high up british person was at city hall.

Caused quite a stir at a council meeting afterwards!

This has to be a joke.

I would be thinking that the Man Utd flag would be flying first, since they are going to be crowned Premiership champions this weekend.

With the amount of shít done in the name of it throughout the history of the world they're not far off it.

Anyways comparison wasn't my point. My point was that people can get bent outta shape over what a piece of cloth represents.

I don't think that's too unusual, pubs and hotels would often fly the flag of guests they may have staying.

id be very surprised if it was

Might be a silly question, but can anyone tell me when she'll be over and when the pessimists are expecting trouble to kick up in the streets?

Haven't really been following this story at all, but interested in photography, so if there was gonna be trouble in the streets, I'd probably head up with the camera (not that I condone it, but it does make for something different and exciting to photograph).

    Cheers :)

If it is true and the union jack is flying above the GPO it will be a disgrace considering the history of the GPO and the role it played in our history...

Before people start saying I’m just trolling or getting carried away, firstly I have no issue with the queen’s visit except the cost involved in it the same way I feel about the Obama visit.

But flying the flag of a nation who oppressed our freedom for 800 years, killed many of our ancestors and then to fly the symbol of such history over a building that played such an important part of our struggle for freedom is nothing short of disgusting:mad:

On the swastica thing... originally it was a religeous symbol and can be found on some of the high crosses in Ireland.

It goes back a LONG time before hitler.

Her Highness or Her Madam or Lizzy what ever her name is she has her own lavatory (jacks) sent on tour where ever she goes. Her janitor keeps her thrown warm and spotless ready for her next blast.
NB: I wonder if Her Majesty's bog roll is imprinted with the Union flag.

It's just the work of a team of pranksters who like to go round the world sticking flags where they don't belong.

Here's one of their early efforts.

The Swastica was considered to be a good luck charm way back before hitlers time but I dont suppose some folk would appreciate you sending them one.
