I been seeing a girl whom i explicitly made clear to that i just wanted a casual relationship based around sex and wasn't interested in a serious one right now. She's been showing all the signs recently of trying to make it seriously. I reckon i'll be back on the market soon. Time for some sabotage. I never have the heart to break up.

    ROFLYSST...

    Anyway.

... People in relationships keep saying to me "Stay single, its the best way to be" oh ye sure, easy for you to say that. Thats like me (who has a job) turning to someone unemployed and saying "Stay jobless, its the best way to be"... That is just not right!...

... Anyway Single and not ashamed of it... Although maybe that is where I am going wrong.. .ha ha ha

Seems I've inadvertently got myself into a relationship scenario in the past month and I'm not sure I'm completely happy to be honest (even though he's lovely). It's going to inevitably end in tears within 3 years...

3 years  many marriages don't last that long. Could be 3 years well spent...!

Agreed. Hence why I said WITHIN 3 years. I might only last another week, who knows. All I know is a vast majority of relationships don't last beyond 3 years. :)

Being single out of choice is fantastic. There's been times when I've genuinly pitied those in relationships. "Poor, trapped feckers", I thought to myself.

No option for separated? Surely with the length that divorce takes in the country there would be far more people separated than divorced.

    In a relationship.

Out of interest, when does a boyfriend /girlfriend, stop being a 'boy' or 'girl' friend? I mean 'partners' are people who share a home and expenses etc. like being married without the commitment. But what about a relationship where you don't live together? I always feel strange when someone says 'boyfriend' or 'girlfriend' and are referring to someone in their forties or older. My 'friend' implies a platonic friendship and 'manfriend' sounds ridiculous.

Interested to know what others think...
