Can a female boardsie (or a male if you think you know) please explain to me why some women pluck out all their eye brows and then just draw them back on??

I mean, where is the logic...its madness I tell's ye!?

If it looked better than the real thing, then fine I can understand it, but any of the ones I see, look like a 4 year old drew them on...they sometimes don't even follow the natural line of where the eyebrow was...

I...I, I just don't get it

Fecked if I know! My mother in law does it all the time (she has no eyebrows really), she got them tattooed on a few years ago, and I swear to god it's so distracting!!!!

That's something I keep an eye out for...you can tell a scummer, for the most part, by the shape of her eyebrows...that and massive hoop earrings...chavtastic!

yeah, never understood that? And the funny thing about the drawn on ones is that they are not always on top of the old ones. Sometimes they are higher up. WTF???

Wasn't it the fashion in the 70's to do the whole shave the eyebrows and draw new ones in?
My aunt does it too and also the draw the lipstick beyond the lips dealy- she looks like coco the clown!

Some people wax their eyebrows off completely and tattoo new ones on. looks great! You wouldn't even notice that they are fake!

A friend of mine shaves her eyesbrows off and draws them back on. It's a painstaking process, but good god, when she gets a smudge it's flaming HILARIOUS!!

I'm very paranoid about my eyebrows, they're quite well maintained, but are actually....eyebrows! They're a frame for your face so the gotta be nice!

Overplucked or badly plucked eyebrows are fuppin AWFUL. Eyebrows shape your face so much and can really change how you look. I went out for a drink last week and there was a really pretty girl at the next table, but her bloody eyebrows looked like two sideways hockey sticks. I don't understand...do these girls not have friends/sisters/mothers to gently tell them to STEP AWAY FROM THE TWEEZERS!

Tattooed eyebrows can look good if they're done well, Colleen Rooney for example, but a lot of the time they leave women looking like drag queens. Or permanently in a state of shock!

I didn't realise that coleen one had tattoo'd hers..

Why tattoo them on though? Is it because of the effort involved in the upkeep of them?

I dont think it makes sense myself! I have really fair eyebrows and id never even dream of shaving them off! I do a bit of clever shading, but nothing to that extent. She draws them on kinda....triangular too, so she always looks surprised!

God there hideous:eek:, they are too short for her face for one thing, also there too dark, they look totally fake.

Madonna when she was young was the first woman who I remember thinking had some pretty sexy eyebrows. She let them get a little too bushy at times, but when she had them trimmed, so hawt. Best brow bone ever.

I can see the appeal. The upkeep can be a pain in the arse and a lot of girls with fair eyebrows get them tinted or pencil them in anyway. I actually don't know if Coleen has had them tattooed or just semi-permanent but I think they suit her. However if she changed her hair colour to something lighter they'd look ridiculous. Jordan, for example, has gone way overboard with her eyebrows. They definitely look tattooed and now that she's gone back blonde they just look stupid.

Why did she shave them off in the first place????

I know some women have absolutely no shape in their eyebrows so will try their best to get a nice shape, but shaving them off is so extreme!! What happens if she sweats and her pencil runs?!!!!

I like them! I think they suit the shape of her face, and dark eyebrows are quite fashionable. Each to their own I guess!

My sister used to go crazy with her tweezers, my mam used to take the tweezers off her coz they got so bad. Now she only has tiny eyebrows that wont grow and look ridiculous.

It's mad, there's a wan in college and her drawn on eyebrows are ridiculous. They're drawn on practically pointing up, looks surprised the whole time. Looks so stupid.

The shape of your eyebrows can really have an affect on how your face looks overall. For example, if you have eyes that are very close together, you can shape your eyebrows so that they look further apart.

Some woman are lucky that they have nicely shaped, tidy eyebrows that never need to be plucked. However there's nothing wrong with wanting to improve how you look by plucking a nice shape into them and getting rid of stray hairs. Untidy, bushy eyebrows can look very masculine.

I suppose I've just never really noticed really bad looking eyebrows, so those with these untidy bushy eyebrows must all groom. yeah? i suppose i've just never had to think about doing anything so it seems an odd thing to have to consider.

though now i'm checking out my eyebrows...
