I'm male, mid 20's, average build and fitness and just trying to get some definition and lose a slight belly.

Train almost daily, weights and alot of good cardio etc and diet is pretty good, no junk etc. However I find I always have alot of bread or carbs with my meals, esp white becasue it just handy etc.

So basically if one is training really hard and is seeing good results but belly is still persisting, would it be due to too much breads and carbs etc, should I cut em out?

whole wheat bread is the way to go, it's not as nice as white bread but far better for you. White bread is processed and contains a lot of sugar.

Don't know about that, I think Whole wheat bread tastes far better. White bread just tastes really processed or something

just cut it out for a few weeks and see if there's an improvement.eating a lot of carbs, as you say, with your meals leads me to believe you're over-eating so just cut back a bit.....keep your protein high though.
you could also try just eating carbs on your workout days...this will lead to a weekly deficit and you'll lose that ned.

Simple. Just opt for whole wheat over white whenever possible. Same with white rice.

These 'white' foods are typically processed and contain a lot of fast-acting simple carbohydrates.

You will get a more immediate energy boost, rather than the preferred slow sustained energy release from whole wheat foods. Also, as with sugars, if you do not burn the energy your body will store it as fat.

replacing 100grams of white rice for brown or a slice of white for a slice of brown will not result in weight loss.he'll have to eat less of whichever one he chooses.

You could also try some yeast free soda bread. Sometimes people dont react well to yeast and they may not even know it.

    Wholewheat contains sugar too.
In fact a lot of brown is no better that white as the main ingredient is white flour.

A lot of the time replacing could be even worse. Brown breat is often far heavier, containing nuts and seeds. Since people rarely measure bread by weight, and measure using slices. Brown could be worse as a slice contains more calories.
Look at the likes of subway, how many people choose wheat, oat or one of the other non-white options as "they are healthier". Checkign the data shows that they are actually worse choices for somebody trying to lose weight.

Brown rice and bread is better than white in terms of nutrients but just substituting one for the other won't make much of a difference. To make rice white they remove some extra layers which also removes some vitamins and minerals so going brown is better than white in that respect. Some of the white rich is enriched through processing where they try put them back in. Just be careful when changing over not to think you can eat more because it's "better". The amount of mates i've seen with that mentality is unbelievable.

If you're looking to lose fat, I'd cut them out or at most, twice per week as cheat meals.

Exactly, they are just stripping away the husk or various part of the grain. Which removes mostly fibre and some other nutrients.
But when most people start to eat healthy they are doing so with fat loss as the goal, in that respect the extre fibre and nutrients won't help. Very dene brown bread and bigger portions because its wholewheat are going to be worse (seen people do that too)

Carbs are terrible. So much so that footballers don’t eat pasta and a few billion Asians will die soon because of rice.

I lost 3 stone eating a diet that included 4 slices of bread a day.

I do about 80 push-ups and 40 bicep curls per day. I am a long distance runner so muscle no good. Why do you ask?
