Was that funny and talented actor in A Scare Less Ordinary?

Oh yeah, was Gabriel Byrne in it too?

A short film I worked on called 'Spare Change?' has been shortlisted for the Foyle Film Festival's Best Irish Short award. If it wins we get on the Oscar shortlist. Even if we don't win we can be considered for a BAFTA. :)

Very funny episode Rockefeller. I'll be sure to check out the series.

Here's a short I did a little while ago that was shown as part of the "30 Minute Film Festival" in the Galway Film Fleadh 2011.

This is a short superhero/comedy film set in Strabane, Co. Tyrone I made during the summer. For anyone who can be bothered to watch it it’s about 20 minutes long altogether and it gets a lot funnier in Part Two, I promise!

And here’s a film I just finished for Uni which I wouldn’t mind getting some more exposure. It’s a personal project about my (slightly exaggerated) phobia of woodlice. Wouldn't mind some constructive criticism from fellow filmmakers.

Made this stop-motion video with my girlfriend to promote her entry on Chef Factor. Took a week of shooting, but I think it's well worth it!

After a decent run of film festivals I've decided it's time to put "Th3 Room" up on line.

    Check it out here:

    DOP - Paraic English
    Starring - Ruth Hayes
Shot on a Canon 7D in late 2010

This some thing we did just for the craic but is getting a lot of comments/complaints

Where is it getting comments? There's none visible to me on Vimeo.

The sound is bad. Hard to hear what they're saying.

The blood effect is decent though although there's no gag really. It's just someone getting shot in the head.

    Hi all,
This is the trailer of my first proper short film that I put a lot of planning and work into. It'll be premiered on Wednesday 25th April at the Sugar Club in Dublin.

Have a look at the trailer and see what you think:-

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?nomobile=1&v=jgNqbE9TFa8

I don't understand why Irish filmmakers insist on putting that 'This preview has been approved by the Motion Picture Association of America' title at the start of trailers.

Not only have you not submitted it for any sort of approval if you had you wouldn't have submitted it to the Motion Picture Association of America. Makes no sense.

I've always seen it as a desperate attempt to appear more professional than the film is. I imagine that if the Irish SOPA comes into effect then the MPAA could have any site hosting a trailer that uses the title card pulled. I imagine that a simple email from them would get youtube to pull it.

Just to reflag the rule in the OP - links from first-time posters will be deleted with extreme prejudice. This isn't a place for you to get free advertising or hits for your short - it's for active members of the boards / film forum community to get their work out there.

So if your post has disappeared - that is why.
