    150px-Fulham_FC.svg.png V 180px-Liverpool_FC.svg.png

If Liverpool avoid defeat they will go ahead of Tottenham in 5th place, with opinion very much divided in both fanbases over the prospect of Europa League football next season.
A victory will keep alive their extremely faint hopes of snatching the final Champions League place.

If Fulham avoid defeat they will climb into 8th, and a win will see them in with a shout of challenging Everton in 7th.

    Fun facts!
    - Jamie Carragher will make his 666th appearance for Liverpool
    - Fulham have a statue of Michael Jackson outside their stadium
    - Pepe Reina is set to play his 150th consecutive league game
    - Regarding the MJ statue, the Fulham chairman said "If some stupid fans don't understand and appreciate such a gift they can go to hell. I don't want them to be fans."
    - Two more league goals for Dirk Kuyt will see him reach 50 league goals for Liverpool
    - Fulham's chairman will be attending this years Cannes Film Festival, to promote a film which suggests Princess Diana was murdered by British establishment figures, including former prime minister Tony Blair.
    - There has not been a draw between the teams at Fulham in the Premier League

Fulham starting XI: Schwarzer, Baird, Hughes, Hangeland, Salcido, Davies, Murphy, Gudjohnsen, Sidwell, Dempsey, Dembele.
Subs: Stockdale, Johnson, Senderos, Etuhu, Kakuta, Zamora, Greening.

Liverpool starting XI: Reina, Flanagan, Johnson, Carragher, Skrtel, Spearing, Lucas, Meireles, Kuyt, Maxi, Suarez.
Subs: Gulacsi, Kyrgiakos, Wilson, Cole, Shelvey, Poulsen, Robinson.

Did I imagine this or was there a special bet for this match? 66/1 for Jamie Carragher to score an OG?

Could be two by 10 pm depending on the result. Never a draw eh? So thats two points dropped then.

Oh ye of little faith! Guaranteed win tonight.

Then draw next week against Spurs, after Spurs beat City.

Horrible 2-1 Fulham feeling. The dream says Suarez with a tap in from a parried Meireles shot. Dream didn't show me the Fulham goals, because it's good like that.

    Fulham at 2/1 looks good.

Fulham will be tough at home but we're on great form lately so we should have nothing to fear.

Didn't know that Reina is on for 150 consecutive League matches.
    RBuxton_LFC Richard Buxton

Hughes & Clemence were also #LFC's only ever-presents in the 1974/75 & 1976/77 seasons. Stig Bjornebye & David James were the last in 96/97.

    Some achievement.

Has Skrtel played in all the league games this season too?

Hope Pepe gets a CS on his 150th, yeah. He's still very much in the running for Golden Glove.

I'm hoping for a Liverpool win to keep Fulham within touching distance, although I do think it will be a draw.

Certainly expecting a tough game tonight. They are playing well at home but I fancy us to take all 3 points. I wouldn't be overly disappointed with a draw as city should win tomorrow night, a win would be very nice though.

One of the funniest chants of the season was away fans (cant remember which team) singing "you're not singing anymore" to the Michael Jackson statue.

    2-1 pool.

Fulham will put up a good fight given us some problems in defense but I think we'll handle it well and then be clinical enough up front to just nip it.

Fulham have a very good record at home this season. I'll go with a 1-1 draw.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 820 ✭✭✭kop77

Think we will sneak it, first goal will be key..... just thinking back to Roy's reign and many would have been writing us off in this game before the kick off. How times change & how quick they change. Just want this season over and let the powers to be do their work in the market and start fresh. We must be getting close to a decision on Kenny's future.

Score draw probably the most likely result although we should be looking to win this.

I'm going for 2-0 Liverpool with Kuyt and Suarez scoring.
    Fingers crossed:)

Why do Fulham have a statue of Michael Jackson outside their stadium?

That Liverpool team looks good hope we get a good few goals tonight :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,535 ✭✭✭joe123

Still very weak in attacking options from the bench. No striker.

Ngog on his way this summer with the help of god :pac:

    .....or else hes just injured?

    That bench really is poor

well i think we can all agree..........................

    that that is fcuking hilarious,

We are where we are, no Ngog is interesting as I wasn't aware he was injured.

Actually a striker tonight isn't that important the formation can be switched about with Maxi/Suarez/Kuyt starting.

Thanks dude :) I can't stop laughing at the statue its so freaky looking :pac:

He came off at HT during the ressie game with a knock.

optimism is great isn't it? its much better than the urge to self harm that came during the hodgson era anyhow.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 12,832 ✭✭✭✭Blatter

I'd expect a tight enough game here. Fulham usually give a good account of themselves at home whilst the Pool have been in good form.

Really good test, this one. Great indication of where we are as a team. Fulham are a good side, on good form and we've had some dodgy performances away from home this year (even under Kenny).

I think a win here would be a great sign for the future - it's these type of games we need to really improve on. A draw is likely and wouldn't be a terrible result. A loss would indicate that despite our great recent form, we still have a long way to go.

Tough to call. I think we're slight favourites but shouldn't be expecting an easy win. I'll go for a draw, 1-1. If not maybe we'll nick it 2-1.
