Read the label - it will give you the carb count on the back
Avoid sauces high in sugars too
    I think the average carb RDA is 130 - 150 g

Check for carb level on back - a surprising number of foods have high levels of carbohydrates as sugars...

The one im using right now is called BUNALUN Organic

    carbs-4.2g
    cals-35

its 94% tomato, 2% carrot,1.8% basil,0.1%celery,the rest is seat salt so I guess its perfect

I am on a low carb diet and am in the second month of it now. Today I had an Aubergine and Tomato Bake for dinner and the tomato sauce was so easy to make yourself and since its allowed in my plan I'm presuming must be pretty good for you. I just used a tin of chopped tomatoes, a dessert spoon of swiss bouillon, dried oregano and herbes de provence. I also put leeks in my sauce as it was part of the recipe but I'd imagine that you could add any vegetable that you wanted within reason, and you could make a bigger portion and freeze it so you'd always have some when you need it! :)

that's a great ingredient list for a jarred sauce - enjoy it, no reason to not have it.
