With regular bench you can do them bodybuilding style with arms flared and powerlifting style with arms tucked. Well whats the deal with dumbbell press, are there also two variations with that exercise?

Hammer style, open grip (no thumbs) FTW.

elbows at sides = more tricep / shoulder involvement (same with suicide grip or 'open grip' as described above)

elbows flared out = more pec

it can be done with dumbbells.

I have never seen any videos of it done 'powerlifting' style tho. For that matter, it looks to me like the dumbbell press isn't strictly the same movement as the bench press bodybuilding style either as it seems all the dumbbell press videos I watch people bring the dumbbells together as they push them up.
    For example -

    http://www.exrx.net/WeightExercises/PectoralSternal/DBBenchPress.html

Im using the dumbell press for starting strength in place of powerlifting style bench press. So what way should I be doing them?

With db bench I just find a happy medium between flaring my arms and having them totally tucked.I also have the dumbells halfway between hammer grip and straight..Like basically hand position in a semi supinated chinup.
