    hey guys, im looking for a wall mounted chin/pull up bar for the back garden.

    Ive seen the one on Irish Lifting alright, but i dont like that it only has 10 inchs of clearence from the wall, not enough IMO.

    Anybody know of anywhere else that does them in Ireland??

    Thanks mill

    Argos. That's about ten inches too. You'll have to screw some timber to it or something.

    Get something made up perhaps?

    A couple of meters of 1" tube, a meter or so of box, and a bit of plate.
    Throw in a few rawlbolts, and I'd be surprised if the materials came to much more than €30-40.
    Apart from the rawlbolts, it's all easily found in any steel fabricators scrap pile, or at pretty much any scrapyard or steel stock supplier.

    This sort of thing doesn't need to be done on a CAD/CAM machine or welded by a certified and coded weldor, any handy lad with a welder and angle grinder could knock it together in an hour.
    €50 maybe, or the price of a few pints?

    02 prepay visa is what I'm using at the moment. Might be easier to get one for yourself if you're planning on ordering protein online anyways.

    <thread resurrection>
    As posted by Transform in another thread:

    Have a close look at around 5:16.
    That's about as simple a pull-up bar as I've ever seen, provided you have a suitable corner for it.

    Pull up bars are very effective for bodyweight training. With wall-mounted pull-up bars, you can exercise on your door and you are not bound to the opening times of the gym. Take a look at some of the best pull up bars here. http://pullupbarsireland.ie/wall-mounted-pull-up-bars/
