    Hi Guys,

So for the past few months I've being doing weight machines & don't find them any impact. I've decided to bite the bullet & change to free weights as I've heard their alot better for exercising.

    I'm 5"5 & 10.5 stone..sound like a low weight but I have alot of body fat,belly & don't resemble a person who is 10.5 stone

My question is, Is Strongman 5X5 good for fat loss & toning?

Also it says workout only 3 times a work? that seems very little doesn't it? Do you do cardio inbetween or something?

    Thanks,

    Mark

What exactly is the program. i am familr with some of the other 5x5 programs (SS, SL etc) but not strong man.

Google throws up three threads on t-nation, and BB.com all by the same guy.
He says its 5 x 5 followed by working up to a 1rep max (bench, squat, dead, press)

Id that the one you mean?
If so its too much, 1 RM far too often.
